@dcbound: If the substance of your contact is "Hey, what's up ?", then no; but, if you need to contact admissions for a relevant question or to furnish a notable recent accomplishment, then yes.

I'd say we could gain something because we'd be talking to an actual adcomm....but idk.

Pretty much. I'm going to probably call back again sometime soon and check again but it didn't sound promising.

Registered for on campus interview in late March. 'Hold' applicant.
Would this help to get out of hold status?

Possibly. I believe the dean mentioned in a interview that a good interview can push a borderline candidate over the edge, and a bad one can cost them their chance. The interview is a major component of the application for NW, so I'd say it is definitely a potential game changer. Best of luck to you... I did the on-campus interview a few weeks ago.

I am pretty sure they do not respond to any updates that are emailed. I have sent the LOCI and essays separately and did not get anything back.

I have one of the adcomm's emails from my interview. The odd thing is that it seems like a random string of numbers/letters which seemed semi-unprofessional to me.

just received the decision letter from NW...but they only release decision via status checker, and i CANNOT log into my account!

Sorry to hear the bad news/non-good news (I suppose a "hold" is neutral, actually...).

May I ask when you guys went complete?

And does anyone know if NU decisions come out all at once on a given day, or if they come out in waves?
