Considering how many were waitlisted, I would guess slim to none, especially if your grades are not above their medians.Ldubs wrote:Chances of getting of the waitlist?

Waitlist here too!
Thanks for accepting my SO and not me - that's definitely going to make our planning for next year a lot simpler! No seriously, I'm very happy for her that she got in and W&M really couldn't have known unless they were very observant about addresses, but this uncertainty is going to be stressful.
EDIT: 168/3.1
Based on some prior comments it seems they were not overly kind to splitters.

Damn that sucks man. Did you get into Wash & Lee or George Mason? Those are more or less peer schools in the same region.FlanSolo wrote:Waitlist here too!

Haven't heard from GMU but we're both in at AU (no word on money yet) and I'm in at WashU ($$) where she didn't apply. Still need to hear from GW and GULC (reach), BC, and Emory. She also applied to GULC, GW, and Emory. Here's hoping somebody from W&M with a soft-spot reads this!SupraVln180 wrote:Damn that sucks man. Did you get into Wash & Lee or George Mason? Hahaha this thread is so funny. I was WL'd today too (163/3.32--how the hell did that happen?) I was honestly expecting a rejection. I hadn't even looked at my status checker sent it to me. W&M just tricked all of us into applying with their fee waiver. And from what I have heard, no one gets off the waitlist.

Re: William & Mary 2011
I would have told them this. They do have a soft spot, but if you told them that your SO was already accepted, and that you both want to be at WM for the same reasons etc. I think it could help. Give it a go. Id call the admissions dean personally. Just to ask a waitlist question, and maybe mention that. It cant hurt.FlanSolo wrote:Haven't heard from GMU but we're both in at AU (no word on money yet) and I'm in at WashU ($$) where she didn't apply. Waitlisted and withdrew just now. I have a full ride at a higher ranked school... really, W & M? I guess it's better for their stats that they did it this way, though!
