It was noted that they do not do their acceptances/rejections in batches right? otherwise, it's not looking good for the dr 2/17s...

11/1 - was put on hold from EA. Just received the letter today in Texas. Not sure if I'm going to do the waitlist or not, considering other acceptances. Gotta think about it.chicoalto0649 wrote:utcris410 wrote:DR 2/12 - Waitlisted, letter received today. Letter actually postmarked 2/16.

If you REALLY wanna make an impact, go post this on the BU board and then sit back, lol.tram988 wrote:BC 2009 NLJ250 placement beat BU: http://www.law.com/jsp/nlj/PubArticleNL ... 2443758843

This is great for BC but kinda sucks for those of us still waiting... does that mean they'll be more selective now? I'm willing to bet BC goes up in rankings in the next few years.

I'm assuming so. I don't know how many apps they've had in past years, but they said in my rejection letter that they're expecting over 7,000...cherryalamode wrote:If you REALLY wanna make an impact, go post this on the BU board and then sit back, lol.tram988 wrote:BC 2009 NLJ250 placement beat BU: http://www.law.com/jsp/nlj/PubArticleNL ... 2443758843

Re: BC Law 2010
Exactly. Well Cherry think of it like this: BC has been a top 30 law school since 1987. BU wasn't ranked until 1994 and at that time it was a top 40 school. Only in 2004 did BU overcome BC in the U.S. News. This is why I have consistently argued that BC has more lay prestige-- because its been a top law school since 1987!

Last cycle was something like 7100. They said in my acceptance letter that they expect over 7000 again, cherryalamode wrote:7000 for THIS cycle? Or next?crm wrote:I'm assuming so. Re: BC Law 2010

I wonder how many out of 7000 they accept. On the BC website, it only states how many out of XXXXX applicants are ENROLLED. I don't recall how many they accept. But DAMN.... I will be so sad if they reject me...

Cracking open my "Princeton Review 174 Best Law Schools, 2009 edition," they have BC stat's for the Fall '08 entering class as:cherryalamode wrote:![]()

Applied: 6670
Accepted: 1347
Enrolled: 270
A little out of date, but still illustrative.

That is interesting. Thanks for posting it. It's a little out of date since last cycle they received over 7000 applications. I can't wait to see how many they have received this cycle!JusticeHarlan wrote:Cracking open my "Princeton Review 174 Best Law Schools, 2009 edition," they have BC stat's for the Fall '08 entering class as:cherryalamode wrote:![]()

That does illustrate their low acceptance rate though.

Thanks, JH! Definitely what I was expecting. Man, I wish I can find a way to let them know that if accepted, this is where I want to go.JusticeHarlan wrote:Cracking open my "Princeton Review 174 Best Law Schools, 2009 edition," they have BC stat's for the Fall '08 entering class as:cherryalamode wrote:![]()
