I'd love to take a lot of time off in between but I'm going to be living off loans for 3 years and I don't have the money/don't want to extend that a ton longer.

I think I'm going to leave about 3-4 weeks before school starts. No one knows that I'm going back to school...I am planning on giving about 3 months notice so I can help find/train somoene.

Probably not until the month before school starts/whenever I have to move to where I'm going. I have a very chill job as a legal assistant/office manager of a tiny law firm, and I'm the only non-attorney employee, so they really need me to stay as long as I can. Also, I have literally hours of free time at work every week, so there's no reason to stop going (and stop getting paid).

My department is in flux right now, so I'm secretly hoping I get laid off around March or April then just ride on that sweet severance package while traveling abroad.

Otherwise, quitting in May and traveling anyway.

I don't know anything but hustle at this point. I work at a museum, I tutor, and I intern for a legal aid organization. I think I'm gonna work up until the end of July when I move. But June-July is a science summer camp at the museum with field trips every week, so I think that's an awesome way to get paid having fun and working with kids before the cuttroat grinding.

I think it'll just depend on when I feel like moving/if I have a summer internship lol

I think it's really close to one month after test day. But I don't know when the test was (first weekend of Dec or second?)...

But I think we can assume by the second week of January.

Just impulsively booked a 4 day trip to Miami in January. It's probably my last chance to be reckless. 8)

V happy to finally report that I submitted all my applications on December 2nd, and they are currently pending.

Also just got back from a 2-week vacation in west Ireland.

Life is so much more relaxing.

a day trip is kind of hard if you want Key West, and not enough time to see it! spend at least a night there :) dunno about Key Largo though

I was talking more Marathon/Islamorada. They have some pretty affordable charter trips. You'll for sure need to spend a night if you're driving all the way out to key west though.

I would like about 10 years off before school, but I don't think that's happening. Depending on where I end up and how crushing the debt will be, probably just a month or two..

No update. There's something a little bit too neurotic-law-school-applicant about calling and asking whether a rejection letter was a mistake, especially for a school that -- while excellent -- wasn't at the top of my wishlist for a number of reasons. I have two theories, though:

1. Automation of a GPA floor. I'm on the "super" side of the splitter spectrum, and they may have rejected my application on that basis.
2. I wrote a "Why X" essay for this school, and wrote it pretty much off the cuff. I felt pretty lukewarm about the prospect of attending there, and that apathy may have come through in the essay.

Could be one or both of those things, or something totally else. Not worth stressing over. In the meantime, I got into one of my safeties and had an encouraging interview with another school, so I'm not losing sleep over it.

This is basically what I did last year and it was kind of great...all my projects ended and I just got to hang with kids and families and do all the fun eoy/ summer stuff like chaperone field trips for career day (my last week of work I literally got paid to bring a bunch of teens behind the scenes @ the SF Zoo and meet animal handlers and stuff) It was pretty excellent - this year I'm in policy school so am likely to be working at like a refugee camp or something and rolling right up to campus jetlagged

Trying to squeeze as many pay periods in the year as possible. Probably half way through July personally

I'm planning on staying at my job but was dreaming about going back to my camp for a final summer or maybe going to a language immersion school. Those things are expensive though and don't want to bither anyone for a recommendation for a scholarship even though I think I would qualify. The deadline was in December for the one I was thinking of
