Not sure what this means for people who had JS1s in December or so, but I presume January people will be waiting at least another month.

Yes, I noticed a bunch of spots get taken but reopen a day or two later, including my own (which means it wasn't just from people cancelling).EnderWiggin wrote:Another poster (cantorb, I believe) pointed out earlier in the cycle that the number of separate interview spots you can see is not to be taken as the exact number of upcoming interview spots available because there can be more than 1 interview scheduled at the same time.Timantha wrote:Uh, I'm not quite sure about that, but even if there are extra spots, I wouldn't imagine that there'd be too many of those? I mean, it makes more sense to me if they open the spots according to how many JS1s they're expecting/have given out. Pure conjecture, though.ftge232 wrote:Do they usually all fill up or are there meant to be extras?
So think of the JS1 spots that are visible to us as a floor, not a ceiling.
As others have noted though, they open more slots than they need - which means the number of slots isn't really a floor, just irrelevant lol.

So if my interview is tomorrow, the general consensus ITT is that I should NOT post on Saturday how tough the JS2 wait is. Am I getting that right?

I think that would be okay, as long as you tell them to accept all us nov waiters during your interview.Bearlyalive wrote:So if my interview is tomorrow, the general consensus ITT is that I should NOT post on Saturday how tough the JS2 wait is. Am I getting that right?

How awesome would it be if they mirrored the LSAT release and gave us green and grey icons that indicated a decision or not.QuentonCassidy wrote:It feels like a great day to get a call from the 617voldypoo wrote:Morning li'l Sebastian! 1. That I took the LSAT once and did well enough that I felt confident in not taking it again.
2. That I didn't find TLS until after I'd studied for, taken, and gotten my score back from said test.

Well it's incase I get waitlisted at Harvard or Stanford or if I do decently I'd throw a hell marry to Yale.QuentonCassidy wrote:Hahaha retaking after already receiving a Darrow? It doesn't cost me anything to take it, I teach a class about the test too so it's not just for admissions odds, but I did score 4 points below my average in June so I'm pretty confident that I should retake.

Amen. Waiting and studying for the LSAT in blissful ignorance had a net positive effect on my blood pressure, I think.WinterComing wrote:The two things that I'm most thankful for in life:QuentonCassidy wrote:Hahahaha between June and October I think I have had just about all the green/grey icon neurosis that I can handleLi'l Sebastian wrote:How awesome would it be if they mirrored the LSAT release and gave us green and grey icons that indicated a decision or not.QuentonCassidy wrote:It feels like a great day to get a call from the 617voldypoo wrote:Morning li'l Sebastian! does no JS1 by now pretty much guarantee a rejection?

Far from it. If you applied recently (dec-jan), they might still be working down the pile of apps. If you applied earlier and survived the rejection wave earlier this week, then you might be on some sort of internal hold. If you were guaranteed a rejection, you would have already been rejected.bamb00zled wrote:does no JS1 by now pretty much guarantee a rejection?

Thanks! I submitted mid October so its definitely not a they haven't read my file yet situation, but I've been purposefully staying away from this thread for emotional self-preservation so I didn't see that they've started rejections so that's great (word choice?...) to hear.tflan19 wrote:Far from it.
