And, if anyone knows, is there typically more than one wave of Vandys or are they one and done?

So, what is the typical amount of time between UR1 and the next status? Also, have people gotten WL or rejected before hitting UR2?

I've been UR1 since 11/20, expecting a WL or rejection at this point...but I don't think there is a "typical" amount of time -- too many variables, especially this far into the cycle.tezzeret wrote:So, what is the typical amount of time between UR1 and the next status? It's possible that you're a maybe too, if you didn't get dinged yet, there is still hope from what I understand. Although from 11/20 till now with just radio silence is pretty daunting, but like you said, too many variables so who knows?squirtlesquad14 wrote:I've been UR1 since 11/20, expecting a WL or rejection at this point...but I don't think there is a "typical" amount of time -- too many variables, especially this far into the cycle.tezzeret wrote:So, what is the typical amount of time between UR1 and the next status? Think there will be any more Vanderbilts? Or the previous wave was the first and last?

I asked in the Cornell thread and got no response, but I was curious if anyone knows if people get WL or rejected without ever hitting UR2?coldmonkey13 wrote:Seems there's a huge chunk of people who are UR2 from around 11/20 as well.tezzeret wrote:It's possible that you're a maybe too, if you didn't get dinged yet, there is still hope from what I understand. Not sure about rejections. I don't think NYU has waitlisted anyone yet though. From looking on myLSN, they don't seem to send out waitlist notifications until like April. I'm a 169/3.3 splitter, so at this point my best guess is I will get waitlisted, since I probably would've heard already if I was getting rejected.tezzeret wrote:I asked in the Cornell thread and got no response, but I was curious if anyone knows if people get WL or rejected without ever hitting UR2?coldmonkey13 wrote:Seems there's a huge chunk of people who are UR2 from around 11/20 as well.tezzeret wrote:It's possible that you're a maybe too, if you didn't get dinged yet, there is still hope from what I understand. You're probably right. Unless they are that backed up, I can't see them dinging you so many months later. (although what do I know) It sounds like in your case it's either WL or maybe they are seeing what else is left, and perhaps you'll still get in. I would still have faith if I were in your shoes because your still in the running as far as we know thus far.squirtlesquad14 wrote:Not sure about rejections. Does anyone know if we should fill out the Need Access form and FAFSA for NYU even if we haven't been accepted yet? I know most schools have priority deadlines for financial aid applications so I don't want to miss it even though I haven't heard back.

If you have other schools that require it you may as well. Get it done early so you don't have to wait on it later.marusyar wrote:Does anyone know if we should fill out the Need Access form and FAFSA for NYU even if we haven't been accepted yet? I turned them in now, I feel like it can't hurt and could limit turnaround time when/if we get in.marusyar wrote:Does anyone know if we should fill out the Need Access form and FAFSA for NYU even if we haven't been accepted yet? Dings have been going out for a while. Seems like at this point it's a wait and see of either late admit or waitlist.jewkidontheblock wrote:10/9... must be waitlist right? Dings have been going out, haven't they?strongbadge wrote:10/5 for mewhimsylatte wrote:+1 Sameworldhunter wrote:

I just got an email saying I should consider applying for RTK. I was accepted in December. Has anyone else received something like this?

October as well. I started a new (somewhat better) job since applying. Is it worth sending them an updated resume, or should I save that for when I get put on the WL as a touch point?squirtlesquad14 wrote:Dings have been going out for a while. For the Vandy recipients -- how long after you were initially accepted did it take to receive the Vandy offer?

I'd personally send them the update (maybe an updated resume) since it gives you an option to keep in touch early on before being waitlisted.jg61 wrote:October as well.
