I didn't receive an inquiry about merit money earlier in the cycle, but I did write the school directly after receiving my need-based aid numbers, asking for more.

Good to know, thanks. I suppose I should've written them when they offered me $0 in need-based aid but I was kind of expecting to receive the "How important is merit money to you" email at some point.

It's not too late. I wrote them on Friday. Heard back yesterday.

I asked this in the accepted students thread but got no response so I wanted to try here:

Has anyone received an email asking if a scholarship in the range of $x-$x+5k "would make the difference in your decision?" Was kind of thrown because it didn't appear to be a specific offer but instead was asking how I would feel about a range of merit aid.

Yep. I didn't go complete until 3/17 though which doesn't help.

Went complete as soon as results of the Feb LSAT came back, but have heard nothing nor had any status change updates since.

I was put on preferred waitlist just now. I wonder what's the admitted students' deposit deadline? Does anyone know normally when students get off the preferred waitlist?

IDK about waitlist possibilities but our first deposit is May 1.

The deposit deadline is May 1, so I'm sure there will be some movement in the weeks following. Though I think they have 3 waitlist tiers - Special Preferred, Preferred, and regular.

I wonder how many people are in each tier, but I guess no one knows that info?

I'm sure a lot of people get Special Preferred/Preferred who would PREFER going elsewhere and not paying sticker. I think they tend to pull someone heavily from the waitlists throughout the summer.

She wouldn't give specifics, but at a recent info session, Alison Spada said there are "a lot" of people on the respective waitlists (lol thx). FWIW she also said they will look to and likely pull from each waitlist, so I got the sense that the tiers don't matter as much as we might think.

I don't know when I went complete as I never had dates in my status checker. But it was sometime in early March. I'm a splitter - stats are 171/3.0.
