Just had a status update from my last date of being held 12/11.

What does it mean...? I'm nervous.

So...Georgetown is by far my first choice and I applied ED. that said, for some reason I didn't really tailor my app....do you guys think I should submit a Why GULC? Will they even take it at this point? I'm still stuck on Application Complete 1/27 (no other status change)

This is your first complete. After this you will get date changes for the complete date that reflect some internal decision\processing.

I have not been following this thread as closely since being held, do you know how many held applicants were already notified?

No, but I know that yesterday they sent out some dings and WLs to held applicants.

Sorry for my stupidity, but does "held" mean just marked complete for a while or is it a different classification?

Some of us got a notification indicating that we were specifically being held after our review

Thanks for the clarification on being held. Now I feel like I'm back to square one just being "complete".

has your status checker had any changes? It always says complete but you have some movement with the dates indicating you are being reviewed

Was complete 1/10 until today, and now changed to 2/04. Is there any way to know what that means- ie in general does a date change without any correspondence mean anything in particular historically?

Mine didn't change for a long time post-interview. Called the admissions office and was told as long as your status says complete you have nothing to worry about.

Hi all, this is specifically directed toward ED applicants:

Does Georgetown usually abide by their 3 week policy? Yesterday marked four weeks for me, and I've only had two status date changes (Complete 1/7, Updated 1/16, Updated 1/29) I've noticed on LSN that there have not been any rejections in waves these past couple of days and I'm fearing the worst.... No news is good news, or do we just think Georgetown is catching up on all its applications?

Waitlists/Preferred Wait-lists are via email. Haven't seen a straight out ding yet, but I imagine it is the same.
