Re: Stanford C/O 2016 Applicants Thread
I've seen no difference in my status checker for a while. A bit ago I thought I saw my primary email get put in my secondary email spot but I thought I was going nuts and maybe it had been there the whole time.
Been under review since 12/7... I suppose no news is still okay at this point but I find it hard to believe with my numbers i'm still in the running, even for a WL. An acceptance would absolutely be a dream come true!
On a side note, spent the whole weekend on Stanford's campus volunteering for an event. Didn't have time to really stroll around and explore, but it was absolutely beautiful. I envy all those who get to spend another three years there

Re: Stanford C/O 2016 Applicants Thread
So, Stanford finally acknowledged my existence, which made me all giddy inside for a second. Unfortunately it was only to inquire about a transcript from a period of time that I spent studying abroad after undergrad, so I came back down to earth pretty quickly. I won't be able to get the transcript, since the university happens to be in a "developing country" (they can't fax and mail could take months) which brings me to my Q... is Stanford's requirement for a transcript from any time spent studying abroad a concrete rule? It was not an official study abroad, jut some time I spent studying in a foreign university after graduating. Also, does this request indicate anything about my chances or their attitude toward my application, or is it just SOP?

Re: Stanford C/O 2016 Applicants Thread
Up until today, both my primary and secondary email addresses were in all caps.
Today, my primary email has been changed to lower-case, but my secondary email address is still in all caps.
Has this happened to anybody else?
Has the case-change/acceptance correlation only been verified in scenarios where both emails change, or has it been confirmed for people like me?
(I went complete in mid-January, for what it's worth.)

Did they call you to ask you about this, or just email you? Cuz a call would be cruelMacB wrote:So, Stanford finally acknowledged my existence, which made me all giddy inside for a second. Haha, email. If they had called to ask about a transcript, I would have politely answered the question and then spent the next 30 minutes or so banging my head against a brick wall.ManOfTheMinute wrote:Did they call you to ask you about this, or just email you? Congrats!! But if you we're ready to send in your HLS acceptance, had you not considered the possibility of the SLS acceptance?

Yes they both changed to lower case, but I have no idea when...I didn't know this was even a thing to look for.Audeamus wrote:congrats! did your status checker email switch to lowercase?efresh88 wrote:IN today via phone call about 10 minutes ago!

To be honest, no, I did not think I was going to get into Stanford, their class size is so much smaller.ManOfTheMinute wrote:efresh88 wrote:IN today via phone call about 10 minutes ago!
