Well, that's unnerving.

LSN shows a plethora of people accepted with numbers lower than that....Heck you're almost an auto-admit at Vandy according to lsn....BC must have a bunch of Philosophy PhDs reading these applications/making decisions or some shit.

Happy Friday is right! As my cycle draws to an (effective) close, BC is probably where I'll be this fall, and it's pretty exciting. I still haven't heard about aid yet, but I'm optimistic, just like I am about everyone waiting on their decisions. Good luck!

I'll probably end up there as well. Does anyone know when the merit offers will end up going out?

A couple people in this thread mentioned they had gotten some aid, but someone had also talked to someone in admissions who said nothing has gone out yet. In any case, they say they should go out around this time, so I'm hoping they start soon, and also hoping that I get some BC is my top choice of my acceptances right now, and while my #2 is already MUCH cheaper, I'd be making a lot of sacrifices to go there instead.

I have the BU/BC decision to make, it would make it easier if one offered me a bunch of money. If theyre around equal ill probably be heading to BC.

They've been very, very unpredictable this cycle. Last year they had a much more standard admissions cycle if you look at the LSN graphs. So basically, dont count on anything with them.

When I spoke to the financial aid office, I mentioned that I was pretty much leaning towards whichever school offered the most money (though I phrased this as "I'm interested in PI and attempt to leave school with as little debt as possible"), and they were very interested in what other offers I had been given, particularly from BU. You might want to just call and ask them about awards and tell them that you're interested in both but concerned about costs. Couldn't hurt.

Yeah, maybe wait to see if either offers you anything and try to use that to leverage the other. Or, let them know that you've been admitted to both, are torn and concerned about money. That said, my conversation with the financial aid office wasn't about negotiating aid, just about a deadline and scholarships came up, so I have no real experience with what may work.
