The Big Red are totally the clowns of the league. They're not even the best red-color-based team.
They're the first Ivy League team to win a first round game since probably Princeton or Penn I don't know how long ago. When was the last time Harvard won a first round game/made the NCAAs? I have no idea.
The last first round Ivy victory that I can remember is Princeton, as a 13th or 14th seed, beating UCLA in the mid-1990s. IIRC, UCLA was the defending national champion. It was awesome.
Edit: This is from the AP article on today's Cornell victory: "It also was the Ivy League's first victory since Princeton beat UNLV in 1998."

This place doesn't exist, it is a magical land maybe real in a parallel universe or dimension. You are all characters in fairy tales, I have a better chance meeting you in Middle-Earth or Alagaesia

When I first got in, a friend of a friend (who goes to Penn) said "no you didn't. Yale law doesn't exist. Everybody knows that."

nothing in the mail either... I was complete by mid-October, so I guess I survived two rounds of rejections. Does my fate lie on the waitlist?

Ding.
When they sent me a letter in December inviting me to apply, I was sure that meant they wanted to accept me! Guess I was wrong.
(Seriously, kind of glad that's over so I can concentrate on my very fine current options. Good luck to those still waiting, and congrats to those admitted.)

Yeah, I like LOST quite a bit. Mostly I was trying to think of an interesting username.

Sorry about the ding! Do you mind letting us know where you are in the country, for those of us still waiting on our letters?

Sure.
Atlanta. The letter was postmarked 3/16

Louisville could lose to Cal and be one and done or beat Duke and coast to the Elite 8.
I have them going to the Elite 8...go Cards!
Louisville looks awful.

Indeed they did. And yet they still had a chance until their hack-a-Zhang strategy backfired.
I don't think Cal has much of a chance against Duke (a clash of T14 schools!), but I'll be pulling for the Bears.

My bracket is 25/31 so far (will be 26/32 if Maryland holds on). Out of some 5,000,000 entries on ESPN's Tournament Challenge, this puts me in the top 1% - rank 46,492. Nobody is 31/31 so far. Only four entries are 30/31.

I'm feeling good about back-to-back 13-3 days for 26-6 overall. Only serious problem with my bracket is Georgetown in the Sweet 16.
I also have 'Nova in the Final Four, but damn the South was so hard to predict. That region just sucks overall.

Yeah, I have 'Nova in the Final Four, but that's because I went out on a limb and had Texas A&M beating Duke in the Sweet Sixteen. All of my Elite 8 teams are still alive fortunately

Nothing in the mail yet, the dream lives on. At least they don't appear to have taken one look at my application, broken out into hysterical laughter and then put me into the reject immediately pile.
