Was thinking I might be a case of YP--any thoughts?
Sounds like YP to me, so don't get discouraged. Your numbers and URM status should lead to a great cycle. For Duke, do all the available essays and interviews to show that you're interested in the school itself instead of just its US News ranking, and they'll probably admit you.

The info should be available somewhere. You dont "get" a netid. You make it.

If you're talking about scheduling the scholarship interview, go to this site (https://law.duke.edu/interview/) and use your primary email address for the username and your LSAC account number as the password. I'm not sure where they're asking for a netID, b/c that's something you receive once you enroll. The login info for the accepted students website is in your acceptance email if that's what you're referring to.

Agreed, but hey, it's out of my control. It was exactly two months, as it happens. Applied RD.

Hi guys, yesterday I sent my "why duke" essay to the admissions email after my application went complete a few days ago. Duke is my target school, so I think a "why duke" would be nice. However, today I just found a typo in the essay: instead of "both A and B", I wrote "both A B". I guess I went through many versions of this essay, so didn't catch it (not even my husband who proofreads my apps). I feel so bad right now. Should I send in an updated version or it is better for me to live with it?

Step 1) relax
Step 2) don't update. It's fine and likely not a huge distraction.

Same thing just happened to me! Went complete exactly two months ago and went UR today. Hopefully it's not a terrible sign, but we'll see.

Well considering I submitted RD a few days ago, I'm going to settle in for what appears to be quite a long wait. Went complete this morning.

Not to be discouraging, but I went complete back in November and after some email correspondence with admissions I was able to go under review in December.. I haven't heard anything or had a date change since and I've done pretty much everything I can to get their attention without being obnoxious. It's possible my application just isn't that strong (especially given the limited spaces due to PT admissions), but just be ready for the possibility of a long wait :(

A long wait is fine by me. As much as I'd love to hear back instantly, I would rather wait a little bit longer for a positive response than hear now about a negative one :)

My bad on this if it's been well covered, but I'm hopping in here late.

I'm assuming that scholarship offers won't come until after the financial aid interview, right? That'd only make sense. Interviews are already backed up about a month, so I wish I could hear something money-wise sooner, but I can't imagine any of that coming before the interview.

Had my interview recently. Very relaxed atmosphere. Similar questions as others, just not asked as directly as drafted. There was a mention of timeframe. Offers will go out in order of interview but likely won't start until beginning/mid February due to waiting on the funding numbers from the endowment.

Okay, am I going crazy here? Did this work for you, Sebastian? The only login credentials I'm seeing are from my initial acceptance email, and they're generic. (Username = "welcome")

Thanks :)
