Part time program:
App received: 2/11
App complete: 3/8
Waitlisted: 4/25
LOCI sent: 4/26
I spoke with the admission office and they said there is no rank on the waitlist and they will pull applications at random. Am I missing something here? I would assume that they would have preferance even on the waitlist...
They went on to say that I may not find out until early June!!!...this is going to drive me insane.. **sigh**
Does anyone have any insight on the waitlist process?
We are basically in the same boat...Part time program
App Received: 12/1
App Complete: 12/2
Waitlist: 4/25
LOCI sent: 4/26
Let me know if you hear anything! What are your numbers?
Mine weren't good what-so-ever.... GPA--3.19, LSAT 150 (first time), i don't know if my work experience will count for anything. my undergrad degree was in computer science
Basically im just trying to see if I have any chance...

Does anyone know if the STCL curve is brutal or not? I've been reading that they admit a lot of students and then basically viciously weed out the bottom 6% or something.
My scholarship is what makes STCL a favorable option, and I want to make sure the 3.0 GPA stip isn't somehow dangerous...

In case you don't wanna go download it, you need to stay be a little better than top 1/3 to keep your scholarship.
Also, does anybody have any knowledge as to whether they stack the sections? Not like it matters to me, but those of you with money might be wanting to know the answer to that.

Something doesn't seem right here, you're at/above both medians for full-time and part-time, and above 75th percentile GPA, there's gotta be some other reason why you got dinged, since it doesn't seem to be numbers.
Which is to say don't give up hope yet, merc.

i think it could have something to do with late applying, since they seem to fill up part time slots faster than full time.

Waitlisted at 5:30 p.m. today. Was hoping for a straight decision.

My app went complete on 12/2.
I have a question for those who are still waiting or have been waitlisted. How long are you all willing to wait until you have to finally commit to a school? How long CAN we we wait without jeopardizing our financial aid/loan eligibility?

Got another question...I was trying to fill out the financial aid papers but the Graduate Fafsa site states that we have to apply directly through STCL. Going on the STCL site I see the new Student Application, 2011-2012 Tuition Equalization Grant Application, Verfication worksheet, and special circumstance form.
Underneath all this is complete your fafsa but the link directs you again to the Fafsa website but this looks like the undergraduate app.
Can anyone shed some light?

There is no different form, just fill out the regular FAFSA.

I was told they've never had so many apps before and the competition has gotten increasingly more stiff. It will be interesting to see the entering class of 2011's new median GPA/LSAT. From what I've been told, they are both higher than ever before, but the ? is - by how much.

For STCL, I filled out FAFSA, then, on the STCL financial aid Web site <
http://stcl.edu/fao/index.html>, submit the Texas Equalization Grant form and the New Student Application (take note of the date--they have 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 forms available). That's all I did, and I received the financial aid award via snail mail, and later Stanley account access (though I later withdrew). I suspect that you might want to submit the Verification Worksheet or Special Circumstance Worksheet, if your situation requires.
Good luck to you! It is a great school.

I'll be upping the LSAT and dropping the gpa.
sorry d00dz. Luckily it's a median and not an average, so I won't be dropping the gpa by that much
EDIT: whoopsie!
