Even with Amoke out (nice timing, Omondi), I still like Cal over Louisville.

absolute wreck of a day, my worst opening day ever. marquette in particular tore my heart out. anytime a monkey/toddler/random number generator (8/16) outperforms you, you know you're in for a long tournament


edit: but, all rooting interests aside, i really think this has been the most entertaining opening day in a long time, maybe that i've ever seen

I occasionally stop by here to see if people are hearing things, but I just happened to be here at the right moment to tell you don't underestimate Louisville...when they're on, they are pretty good.

Louisville could lose to Cal and be one and done or beat Duke and coast to the Elite 8.

Hell of a first day, I agree. So many close finishes. I went 13-3, which in retrospect I'm quite shocked about. I missed Ohio, Old Dominion and Wake Forest. I think I'm in trouble tomorrow though - too many upset picks to last long.

I was a music major as well. I figured one of us would be accepted by virtue of some unspoken performance arts major quota. Regardless of background, however, your numbers should preclude rejection anywhere. I'm very surprised. Condolences.

They're the first Ivy League team to win a first round game since probably Princeton or Penn I don't know how long ago. When was the last time Harvard won a first round game/made the NCAAs? I have no idea.
