And all 3 were in the middle of the month last year. But this year's Jan one was in late Jan. My money is on a Thurs/Fri of late Feb

According to MyLSN, in the 2014 to 2016 cycles, no one who applied in January got in until March. Cool. Super cool.

Hey man I hate to be a downer but there are people that have been complete since September and had a JS1 in November. I'm not one of them, but just saying that some people would be super happy to have a two month turnaround

Me too. Applied in October, first round JS1 (interview in early/mid Nov). Just under 75th LSAT; Above 75th GPA. Good softs; great LORs. Radio silence. A two month wait would have been heaven.

Thanks so much! They've only made ~20% of admits so far. Much lower than Y/S which have made ~50%. This gives me a lot of hope

I'm spending all day in Austin Hall judging an undergraduate mock trial scrimmage, 50 feet away from the admissions office. Gotta resist the urge to slip a LOCI saturated with my tears under the door

Would it be considered unusual for someone to be invited for a scholarship interview at Columbia and completely ignored by Harvard? Asking for a friend.

I'd say there is nothing "usual" about any of this.
I have a friend with an acceptance at Chicago but WLs at NU and Duke.
I have another friend with a JS1, acceptance at Chicago, but WL at CLS.
and another friend with acceptances at Yale, CLS, NYU, and Chicago but "Held" at Penn.

All of this is batshit crazy.

I spent a little time today going through the LSN data for people in my LSAT range from prior years, and one thing I noticed was that a lot of the people who applied relatively late (like, went complete in January) didn't get decisions until very late March (like, the 26th or later) and that some got them on April 1. I didn't do any sort of diligent statistical analysis, but I'm pretty sure those dates are disproportionately represented, which makes sense given that late apps are probably the last to get looked at, etc.

Looks like I'm in it for the long haul.
