Yes, they do release decisions on weekends. Mine came on the 10th day, which was a Saturday.lymenheimer wrote:Feel free to use the search function before you ask a questionnewrad wrote:If the 10th day after one's PT application is complete falls on a weekend, does one hear back by the Friday before? Put differently, does Duke release (PT) admissions decisions on the weekends?

Don't feel bad, I'm way above both of their medians and they placed me on Priority Reserve as well. Is this considered YP?drive4showLSAT4dough wrote:First off, congrats on your great stats and don't worry--you'll be fine.SomeElleWoodsJoke wrote:Yep.Duggiiee wrote:That is really surprising. Ow.
The email says "If you are able to visit Duke Law in the coming weeks, you are welcome to schedule an optional interview with the office of admissions to discuss your candidacy." On the visiting page, it says interviews are informational and do not affect admissions. I take it this interview is no different?
If Duke is your top choice, then visit, interview, and convince admissions of that. You got priority reserve for 1 of 3 possible reasons: (1) yield protection; (2) a specific problem from your application; or (3) a mistake. Number (1) is, by far, the most likely reason. But either way, the interview would let you iron out the problem.

Went complete and ready for review on 1/6 (sadly, my latest app submission). How long did you guys wait to hear back/see change on the status checker?

Does your status checker still say ready for review? Did you apply via PT?MrR10 wrote:Went complete and ready for review on 1/6 (sadly, my latest app submission). How long did you guys wait to hear back/see change on the status checker?

Accepted via PT two hours ago! Got into the JD/LLM in International Law program - this is my first acceptance of the cycle so I'm super excited!

Hi all, checking in here. Just submitted my application. Can someone clue me in to what all of this "PT" talk is? Part time? I'm a newb. Forgive me.
And it seems from LSN that Duke is pretty quick with decision turn-arounds. Has this typically been the case?

Duke has a program called Priority Track that they extend to some people through CRS based on credentials (similar to how merit-based fee waivers get issued). It basically guarantees that they'll get back to you with a response one way or another within 10 days of the application being complete.
Good luck with your app!

Same here. My status changed to "Decision made" about three hours ago (or at least that's when I noticed), but no email yet.AnonymousPython wrote:In the same boat here. No word yet...newrad wrote:10th day after PT complete for me

Re: Duke University School of Law C/O 2019 Applicants
Did you write any of the supplemental essays? It could be that they don't think you're genuinely interested but who knows. The whole admissions process is so subjective that you never know what that particular committee thought on that particular day.TraderMing wrote:Priority waitlisted today, PR URM with a 169/3.92, no C+F issues but also didn't write a "why duke". My first response from a school this cycle, had my head in the clouds before given how well mylsn projects and based on other URM cycles, but this brought me back down to earth a bit. Was thinking I might be a case of YP--any thoughts?

Just to answer the second part of that, the turnaround numbers are probably skewed downwards by all the PT applicants, which you might've already gathered.Navyhornguy wrote:Hi all, checking in here. I put two and two together after I realized how PT worked. Lol. I will join the rest of the non PT crowd in the waiting game.Tycho wrote:Just to answer the second part of that, the turnaround numbers are probably skewed downwards by all the PT applicants, which you might've already gathered.Navyhornguy wrote:Hi all, checking in here.
