For those who have had little movement in the past one-two months and have stats within striking distance: are you out of state or in state?

Pretty much gave up on an acceptance at this point- no movement from UR for a month and no interview request.
I'm out of state.

Because everybody knows UVA doesn't accept anybody in January, February, March, or April.

I think they're more disheartened that they haven't received an interview request.

Well they shouldn't give up on acceptance or be disheartened until they actually receive a rejection. There's nothing necessarily negative in hearing nothing. Sometimes it's better than hearing something.

I can't speak for the other guy, but I think I'd rather be rejected than left in the dark. That's just me though.

That's a fair point. I'll admit I was much more relieved when I got my first acceptance. But waiting for the rest of the information from that school has put me at 3.5 month wait, and will add another at least 1 month or 2 until I hear next. Which is almost worse than decision in January, Scholarship stuff in February, ASW March/April, final matriculation info May/June. But I guess that depends on the person.

No, and I never sent one with my application. I am a splitter: GPA < 25%, LSAT >75%

Same situation here. UR since early November, interview request last week and accepted at the end of the interview. Especially if your numbers are borderline, no news is good news. Never know what will happen, but there's lots of time left in the cycle.

I wouldn't think sending in additional essays would be beneficial unless waitlisted, but others could have different opinions on this.

I'm in a slightly different situation, not borderline but worried about YP (I'm above both 75ths). That said, I'm still going to take your advice and wait.

I'm definitely attending! Not sure about the housing application timeline yet and didn't receive anything else after the initial packet (aside from a subsidy check after visiting).

I'm also set on UVA- will def be in Cville next fall.

I'm pretty set on UVA. As for the housing timeline, it's already started. I know for the Jeffersonian, applications opened December 1. Other places are already accepting applications as well.

Just received an e-mail from Dean Faulk. I honestly cannot believe it, but I was accepted! 3.03 GPA and as of yesterday a 170 LSAT. Retaking definitely paid off.
