I haven't heard anything since 12/12. I'd like to hear something...how much longer can they hold out?

Honestly I feel like some people have been waiting 2+ weeks after UCR2 to get in. It's not over yet.az21833 wrote:ur2 on 2/11, no call. guess i was passed up

Got wait-listed at Penn this morning, 172/3.85. My 3rd waitlist after Duke and UCLA. I've withdrawn from UCLA, haven't decided with Duke yet but I'm going to stay on this waitlist. Still not likely I'd choose Penn over Berk, and I'm in there, but I kinda wanna run this one out.

Thanks, I'm slightly confused as well. I've got a minor C&F thing, that might be it, but didn't seem to be an issue with Berk. Watcha gonna do, Berk was first choice anyways, so nothing's upset me too much yet.

Do any Toll invites have a sense of how binding the scholarship is (i.e. do you HAVE to work in public interest following law school)? I know the email says they ask that we "commit to working in public interest upon graduation," but as someone who doesn't have fully concrete post-grad plans, I wanted to ask others' thoughts on what I see as potentially ambiguous wording. Thanks!

Re: Penn C/O 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 Cycle)
If you accept a firm job post-graduation, you just have to pay the scholarship back. I think it's very frowned upon since someone more committed would have benefited more from the scholarship and you took their spot, but there's no jail time or anything.testaker wrote:Do any Toll invites have a sense of how binding the scholarship is (i.e. do you HAVE to work in public interest following law school)?
