At what point do we find out what books we need?
Is it in the syllabus and is that released a few weeks before class?
Also, how often has a professor changed the required books?
Basically, I'd like to know
1) if I'll have time to order the books online
2) if there's a chance that I'll order the wrong book.
I've had previous classes where a professor changed the edition at the last minute, or where the syllabus was just wrong (teacher wanted a different book).
What are the odds of me getting screwed this way?
I've never purchased a book from the bookstore, have only ordered from Amazon/bought from friends. Have never had a problem. Amazon offers their "Prime" service for free to 1Ls (or used to) and you can get your books 2nd day, that way. Just keep checking your course syllabus. Also, if anyone has Greene for Crim next year, let me know what your text is - I'm selling mine, cheap.

Has anyone that got in off the WL recently received any scholarship information?

expatHK wrote:I just called the admissions office. Asked if/when we should expect additional movement for those on the WL. I was basically told- No. That although theyre reviewing WL applicants, movement wont likely happen till after the second deposit.

So are you saying they insinuated that there will not be movement, or that there will be movement after the second deposit? Also, when is the second deposit due for accepted applicants?

So, dumb question for the students already there. I am a college football fanatic and was wondering, can we get student football tickets for the Fordham games and how much are they?

There are some, well, less than safe areas in the Bronx as well....
We plan on moving to Bayside Queens. It's where my wife was born and raised so the stadium is a quick trip across the Whitestone for me....

Also, my final semester wasn't too impressive, should I avoid sending in an updated transcript until it's asked for?
Would be curious to hear people's thoughts to this as well...

Works for me..... Big 10 has some teams I can get behind; not as much as my beloved SEC football but some great games nonetheless.....

To my knowledge, graduate students are not eligible for free tickets, but may purchase tickets at student rates.

Yeah I most likely will be at Tonic East for most of the PSU games (unless I can score some tix and go out before the semester gets crazy!) Watching on TV is not the same =/

Just got off the waitlist by phone call!
Fordham is the school I was praying to get into, because I want to work in NYC after LS, but I'm not sure if I can go. GW is offering me a lot more money than the, well, nothing, that Fordham is offering me. Fordham said they have no more merit scholarship money left, at least for me.
Have any of you been able to get NEED-based financial aid from Fordham? If so, how much? Thanks in advance.
