Really? Email seemed to say that they anticipated taking people off the wait list this year...could've been worse I think.

Looks like about 6 out of the 5+ pages of applicants on LSN were accepted off the waitlist. Obviously lots of info missing here, but you can look at the graph I posted before to compare between number of WLs and people taken off of it too. Probably not tons, but certainly possible.

WL'd as well. I particularly like the phrase: However, the Committee was highly impressed with your credentials.
Gee, thanks.

Dinged via email. I particularly was mislead by the phrase: However, the Committee was highly impressed with your credentials.
Gee, thanks.

Waitlisted. Honestly surprised, I'm ecstatic not to be dinged but will be going to another school in the fall. Good luck, all!!

Wait listed today! Actually pretty surprised that I wasn't rejected. Was definitely expecting a ding.

WL for me as well. Probably sticking it out but funny that I'll most likely be attending University of Washington in the Fall even though I would love Washington University...

Also waitlisted... definitely don't belong on the WL here but I will take it! Does anyone know how WUSTL treats their waitlist (ranked, etc.)?

UDub went up about ten spots in the latest ranking, plus you will be set in Seattle for life. Take UDub and withdraw from Wash U.
*In full disclosure, I am also on the WL and want most you to withdraw as Wash U is my first choice.

I'm withdrawing my acceptance because I have committed somewhere else.

Haha I'll let you know if I withdraw

definitely thinking about it. But yeah Seattle should be great, I just have a lot more ties in the Midwest so Wash U looked pretty good also.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
