It's so weird to not have heard anything. I know my December LSAT probably put me at the bottom of the pile again, but I applied in November!

Same.
Except they emailed me a couple of weeks ago with a question about my resume, so I know they took a peep at my file. But I haven't heard a word since

Re: BU 2011 Applicants
I hear there's a bar event afterwards. I might try to stay an extra night to go to that. Coming up Thursday afternoon and staying Thursday night-was not about to get to Penn Station at 5 or 6 am for the 9 am start. Might stay Friday night if I can make it financially feasible, but I don't think so. Doesn't help that I don't know anyone in Boston.renegade811 wrote:I'll be there. Any idea if they're gonna take us out or anything afterwards?PomasThynchon wrote: Anyone going to be there for Preview Day Friday? I saw someone else made a thread but no one's really posted in it.

Yeah and the whole random interval scholarship notification is taking its psychological toll. I sent them my offer from GW, but if I'm not up to their standards then maybe they won't bite...

BU seems to be good with $. I didn't send them my 105k offer from GWU and they still sent me 75k a few weeks after my acceptance. Maybe I can leverage a bit more $...ArthurDigbySellers wrote:Yeah and the whole random interval scholarship notification is taking its psychological toll. Re: BU 2011 Applicants
Ha. I sent mine in about a week after my acceptance, which was about 5 weeks ago. Won't be checking my mail until Sunday though so it could be getting here this week if at all. If I don't hear anything by, say, the week of the deposit deadline I'll contact them again.whymeohgodno wrote:BU seems to be good with $. Re: BU 2011 Applicants
On that, I believe that the tuition at GW is about $5k more, along with a slightly higher estimated cost of living. I'd say you might be able to finagle about 10-15k more if you play your cards right, but beyond that I think they would take into consideration GW's higher cost.whymeohgodno wrote:BU seems to be good with $. Re: BU 2011 Applicants
BU revised my scholarship after I sent them other aid offers- upped it a little but didn't match. I got 10k to live on campus the first year and then another 5k/year for three. This complicates my decision somewhat.

Congrats Eugenie!
I'm considering trying to get BU to match my BC offer (it's not that different but every little bit counts right?) after I visit tomorrow...

Weird. I STILL haven't heard anything. Thought for sure I'd be in that waitlist wave. What are they doing with my app?

I'm literally having brunch blocks away from BU when the SO calls because he checked the mail at home: BU upped my scholly by $15k total!

No financial aid letter, everything mailed on time. At what point should I call BU and ask them where my financial aid stuff is? ASAP? Beginning of April? After the deposit deadline?
