Yes, actually, this seems kind of unusual. Usually the move from Complete to UR is one-two days, no? Could we attribute the delay to the influx of January applications?

That's what I would attribute it to. I'm guessing post-December score release they were inundated with new apps to process.

I haven't seen anyone answer clone22's excellent question:

on a side note, how smart is it to go to berk with a chance of paying sticker? They dont give out financial aid until after most school's scholly acceptance deadlines have passed, so what would be the legit decision to make? Ask other schools to push back their deadlines?

Scholarships are supposed to get out in March/April. I don't think most dean's scholarships have separate deadlines from deposit due dates, only the named ones?

I started a little convo on that in the In thread, but it didn't go far. It seems that many people are either offered money elsewhere, or have Berkeley as their far and clear #1 they are happy to pay sticker.

I hope they match/beat my UVa offer... much better apartments are renting for a lot less around UVa than Berkeley. I am a little sticker shocked before I even get the bill! Someone please tell me Berkeley is 120k better than UVa! Quick!

When do you even get an offer for money? I imagine that all happens when FAFSA is done?

Speaking of apartments in Berkeley, I feel like half the apartments there are owned by Raj Properties or Everest Properties, both of which are run by this shady character recently out of jail: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lakireddy_Bali_Reddy

See the illegal labor section. That aside, the apartments they offer are crap for what you pay.
