If anyone cares, there is a weird/interesting/funny story involving my ED acceptance, but it may be too sensitive to post on the boards. PM me if you want the juicy details!

does your status change on the application checker before you get the phone call acceptance?

My date updated but status didn't change before e-mail/phone call. Kinda weird though the guy who called me went to my HS and undergrad. Made for a fun conversation.

No, mine didn't change until about 2 days after the call.

So I just stumbled across the official UVA Softball League website, http://www.ngsl.com/. This softball league is way more organized than I thought. It comes full of weekly power rankings, multiple tournaments per semester, etc.

I am a bro. I played baseball in college. I love softball, and would pwn. Am I crazy for wanting UVA strictly because of softball?

Me too! Still rockin' 10/27, which seems less than ideal. We'll see...

You usually update once, about a week after completion. It means nothing, and for all intense and purposes, a status date update means absolutely nothing.

I've updated once in the 3 months since applying. Guess I'm not as interesting as you once a week people.

I ED at UVA on 1/14, should I get a decision this week or does the "2 week decision" doesnt always hold, especially since so many more people applied ED with the new rule.

You misread, because I forgot a comma. Almost everyone has updated at least once, and it is usually about a week after you go complete

Is it weird then that I haven't updated since going complete approaching three weeks ago?

I don't think that's any indication of a problem. I've been complete for a little over a month and haven't updated yet.

Complete Nov 2. Updated on Dec. 20, still pending review/decision.

I didn't attach a "Why UVA" to my initial application. Is it too early to send a LOCI? Should I just wait it out?

How many people have been sending in LOCIs without being waitlisted? Is that common?? I've been peding since mid Nov.

I just sent in my ED form last week. What do you guys think my chances are? Numbers are 3.5-3.6 and 169 with 4 years work experience. Also non-URM and non-resident. It seems like they have been accepting mostly 170+. My parents live in Maryland so UVA would be awesome, though I'm not expecting much.

Waitlist, maybe a ding. ED is auto for over median candidates, but you're under both so it's a long shot. Good luck, though.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
