dinged.
"In your case, our decision was even more difficult because you have attended the University of Southern California. Our Committee attempts as much as possible to find places in the class for USC alumni, but we receive many more applications from USC graduates than we can possibly accommodate. We would encourage you to think about applying as a transfer student for fall 2011, and look forward to receiving your transfer application in the spring."

Ugh as a USC alumni that breaks my heart. My numbers are worse and I've yet to hear back. Looks like I'll be getting that same generic letter soon enough.chango wrote:dinged.

That sucks, chango. Were you DF 3/5 or 3/9? What part of the country are you in? (I'm just wondering when my letter will arrive.)chango wrote:dinged.

DF 3/5 and living in SoCal.
I'm not too sad, because I didn't want to pay sticker, so I probably would have turned them down even if I had been accepted.

Re: USC 2010!
Got a small envelope from USC today, telling me I have not been selected as a Rothman finalist. Apparently they had 260+ applicants with many great credentials and accomplishments. Not a surprise, I haven't cured cancer or published any novels yet.
The only surprise is how many grammatical errors are in this letter they sent. They must have rushed these out without proofreading.
fwiw, the letter does not mention anything about other merit-based schollys. Hopefully such info will be forthcoming.

Similar numbers and similar admissions here. I'm guessing I'll be receiving the same letter soon. At least per previous years we're supposed to get decent amount of scholarship, hopefully soon.

Hey at least USC treats their own with some level of dignity and acknowledges that you sunk 4 years of tuition and tears into their institution, right? :-\ As a Cal alumnus, I felt discouraged from applying to Boalt in the first place and got a PFO emailed rejection. Sorry guys, it sucks you had to wait this long to get bad news.JolieSaraLee wrote:Ugh as a USC alumni that breaks my heart. My numbers are worse and I've yet to hear back. I did my grad work there with a full ride, +$2,000/month stipend...Hey at least USC treats their own with some level of dignity and acknowledges that you sunk 4 years of tuition and tears into their institution, right?
Thought I might have a chance; like maybe they'd want to get their money back (with interest) by admitting me for law school at sticker.

Still complete since 11/1... am I the only november complete left on TLS? I think if you have a 166 you're sorta in forgotten territory.

Looks to me like wait listed with a very good chance of being later admitted.

Re: USC 2010!
Is there anybody who has been complete since before 1/20?
I mean, sure, my numbers make this a reach...but I haven't even gotten into review yet.

Re: USC 2010!
There are quite a bit of people who went complete before 2010 who aren't in review yet. I was one of the last completes in December (12/21) and just went into review yesterday, but I know there are still people from November, if not October/September, who aren't in review.hellomoto wrote:Is there anybody who has been complete since before 1/20?

Re: USC 2010!
IR 3/2 -> DF 3/5
only 3 days to review.
what would that mean?
I'm an international student(so I would have to wait another week or so to get my mail)
and my numbers are 168/3.4
only 3 days to review.

Re: USC 2010!
your numbers are pretty good... but so far all 3/5ers have been rejections... but this pisses me off. it took them only 3 days... what the hell are they doing with my app since going complete in oct. i've been in review for about 2 months now and i have worse numbers than you....U-Bahn wrote:IR 3/2 -> DF 3/5

Re: USC 2010!
you're the lowest stats 3/9er that i've seen. which is a good sign. 167 is also their 75% in LSAT so you're above medians.dcrlo3 wrote:3.62 167 DF 3/9 -- Any DF 3/9 get mail today?? I'm assuming not, but any encouraging words from similar stats? Seems right at medians.
