I was thinking maybe 50%, the majority of their decisions go out March and April... "I know the majority of their decisions are rejects, but still..."notanumber wrote:Sorry to hear about everybody today.![]()

Don't worry, it happens quickly. The letter is brief and to the point.knola002 wrote:So not looking forward to checking my mail. Sorry to everyone who got dinged.

I live in Southern California, and I got the letter today. Postmarked 3/16. Go USPS!crackberry wrote:TBF, the letter wouldn't have gotten to Colorado yet.Kronk wrote:So does five months free of rejection constitute tacit acceptance?
I also avoided a rejection letter from 06520 today, but I'm not going to breathe a sigh of relief until Monday or Tuesday.
Regarding today's dispute, I think getting into Yale is a pretty simple process:
1. Get a 3.9+ GPA
2. Score a 177+ on the LSAT
3. Know how to write well
And then do at least two of the following (more if you falter at the above requirements):
1. Learn a foreign language or three
2. Notch some sort of spectacular athletic achievement (Iron Man triathlon, sail solo across the globe, bronze or better at the Olympics, etc.)
3. Serve a few years in the military
4. Publish a novel
5. Have a few patents to your name
6. Engage in antiquated and preferably dangerous hobbies (trapeze artist, fire juggler, sword swallower, smoke signaler)
7. Master an unusual instrument (didgeridoo, lute, gong)
If Yale had been my goal since Freshman year, I could have done it. But since I wasn't planning on law school until September, that left me in a hole that no 250 could really overcome.

Sorry, that baby already went out with the trash...
I can tell you it was less apologetic than Boalt's rejection letter, and much, much shorter than Michigan's WL letter. Those are my only points of reference.

I can't play the dig', but they may have accepted me for my predictive ability, as I am 6/8 (nobody would blame me for the Vandy fluke, but I really had a feeling about UTEP. Otherwise I'm golden).

Crap, I am now 7/11 (8/12 if Marquette keeps it up). Is Ohio the Cinderella?crackberry wrote:What about now? 9/11 isn't even top 1% of coin flippers. With Yale's 4,000 applicants you're just one of 60 9/11 psychics!crackberry wrote: 7/11 is TTT for Yale. I am 9/11 and even that's probably too TTT for them.

9/11 is for the Stanford and Harvards of the world

(Also, writing 9/11 so many times is kinda awkward. Fucking terrorists ruin everything)
