Did you focus your PS on how lucky they would be to have you? If not they won't know what they're missing.

Exactly. It's key to focus the entirety of a PS on the applicant's personal awesomeness. And use that phrase frequently. For example, "My ability to dominate on the dance floor is but one aspect of my personal awesomeness that SMU Dedman absolutely cannot do without."

Hey anyone who went D/R on 4/19 who was FT only, did you get your mail yet? Please come back on the board to let us know what has happened. Surely someone in the Texas area has gotten their packet or denial. I really want to know what is coming for me! So by hearing what you all get will help me to brace myself.

If they mailed it on Monday 4/19, I should get it today in Austin, I'll post the verdict when it arrives.

I actually live in Dallas and I have an MA from SMU. During my masters I usually received mail the day after it was sent. There was nothing in the mail from SMU yesterday. But, based on previous posts, it could take up to 5 days to receive mail from the time the DR was posted on status checker. My mail does not arrive until around 3:30 in the afternoon. I will post again after I check today's mail. Being that no FT that went DR 4/19 have posted good news, I am assuming I will find a rejection today or tomorrow.

With there being even more applications this year, I could see that. That just sounds weird...postponing a deadline? lol...if it means me getting in, they can do whatever

Ok guys appreciate you checking the mail and posting it as soon as you get it, but did anyone who was FT besides myself who went DR on 4/19 post any news? I don't recall seeing anything at all for FT only people, am I losing it?

yeah i just browsed through last year's thread and i guess they postponed it to May 11th and some people still didn't hear back then. A few days later, those people were all waitlisted. Some people didn't hear back about getting off the waitlist until August! This is very discouraging. All I want is an outright accept or reject. No more waiting! Although I would be willing to wait until end of June but that sucks.

I know it's possible to ask for PT consideration after being waitlisted but what about after being rejected?

IF these are not acceptances, do ya'll think they will send out any acceptances this week?

1. They called PT applicants immediately with acceptances on Monday
2. No phone calls for any of the FT folks who went DR on Monday.
3. Statements allegedly made (and relayed here) by admissions regarding no FT acceptances

Also, it seems that most of the FT DR 4/19 had average or below average scores-mine included. I could be wrong about this but I remember most of them being "reaches".
