2.00pm EST the day after the UR update? Regardless, yes, it will be happening anyway.Lermontov wrote:Just so people don't flip out all day long about this thread being bumped (even though I know that will happen anyway), I believe calls started going out around 2pm eastern last time.

Think it was two days after. But speculation is that we might hear today to get them done before the weekend and before the 2/1 Need Access Deadline.tilghmab wrote:2.00pm EST the day after the UR update? This is really obnoxious. They've posted on Twitter every time they've released decisions. Stop posting every day,"is today the day?" They'll let us know when it's time.

Sorry... some of us have not been paying attention that long considering we just switched to UR in the last two weeks. Great idea, except for the fact that they didn't update until 10 seconds before decisions went out last time. In fact, the only time we got a heads up in advance was the day before they started RD calls, and that might have only been because it was the first RD wave.hopefulundergrad wrote:This is really obnoxious. But honestly, everyday there is someone posting here... OMG will today be the day? It's just obnoxious. They'll call when they call. And for the majority of applicants, the rejection email will be there before you know it!AngryAvocado wrote:Great idea, except for the fact that they didn't update until 10 seconds before decisions went out last time. Actually, the thread was pretty dormant for at least a couple days prior to yesterday's big batch of UR updates. And, even so, isn't the point of this thread to commiserate with other anxiously waiting people?hopefulundergrad wrote:But honestly, everyday there is someone posting here... It's also pretty ironic to see this coming from someone who probably has more posts in this thread than anyone else. I seem to remember you being quite anxious yourself prior to the ED wave, even calling the admission's office and such.

Stop being such a drama queen. I forgot I had called. But they weren't following the same protocol from the prior three cycles of notifying ED'ers the 2nd week of December.Helmholtz wrote:hopefulundergrad wrote:This was pre-twitter.AngryAvocado wrote:Also, what's this from page 12?

And knowing their protocol isn't the least bit neurotic?

Re: U Chicago 2010
You fail at telling people to calm down ITT. You called first on Dec. 8 to see if they were going to start releasing ED decisions (congrats, you almost made it one full day into the second week of Dec. before freaking out) and then you tried calling again on the 21st to see if they were done releasing ED decisions, even after UChicago started using twitter to inform everybody of what was going on with applications.hopefulundergrad wrote: Stop being such a drama queen.
