Have they started pulling off that already? Would you mind PMing or responding what your strategy was as far as LOCI/updates were concerned? I've been PR since December, could really use some good news in my waitlist purgatory state right now
also congrats!

That's amazing! Massive congratulations to you!
I would also love to hear your strategy/methodology for handling your reserve status.

Thanks everyone! I lost internet for a bit so I wasn't able to respond immediately, but to those asking about how I handled reserve status: I went over my application with a fine toothed comb to try and discover any potential missing information, then wrote an addendum addressing those holes. I also wrote a separate formal LOCI discussing a unique clinic that Duke offers that directly connects with my resume and community service. Finally, Duke is my top choice and I flat out told them that in my LOCI.

Just booked my trip to Durham for ASW. I feel like I'm missing this detail -- does anyone know if housing is available with current students? A teacher's salary doesn't exactly lend itself to multiple nights of hotel stays, especially with the flight.

I emailed them and they said it was up to the students but didn't give me a way to contact any. I would try the FB group

Definitely try the FB group, they've been really responsive. I was offered a stay with a student through a minority student org email blast, so it does seem like the school has delegated coordination of that housing option. So maybe when you try FB, ask which orgs are offering housing to see if there's one that makes sense to contact for you?

Same - does this mean we're definitely getting something or could it be a letter that says "congrats you get....zero"?

It could say 0, but that's rare. over 75% of accepted applicants get something. even an ED applicant ITT for something.

Does everyone who gets accepted get invited to interview for either regular merit scholarships or Mordecai?

Does anyone know if they'll email scholarship letters next week even though it's their Spring Break?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
