Thanks everyone! I lost internet for a bit so I wasn't able to respond immediately, but to those asking about how I handled reserve status: I went over my application with a fine toothed comb to try and discover any potential missing information, then wrote an addendum addressing those holes. I also wrote a separate formal LOCI discussing a unique clinic that Duke offers that directly connects with my resume and community service. Definitely try the FB group, they've been really responsive. I was offered a stay with a student through a minority student org email blast, so it does seem like the school has delegated coordination of that housing option.
