Just saw on LSN they are rejecting today. One reject was a 173/3.55 splitter (not URM, no more info).

And then I come on here and there are also admits? It's a crazy Feb 14 in Palo Alto...

I didn't really understand your post first time, thought you just had a DLS and were anticipating a ding. Didn't realize you actually got one. That sucks, man. Even if you're not banking on it nobody applies if they don't think there's $100 worth of possibility. Hope you have some great admits to choose from.

As I mentioned above, I am having no problem with the status checker (using Chrome). Still says I'm complete and under review. It updates to DLS before ding e-mail or something?

Just to make sure I created a script to log me in and out of the status checker continuously (about 471 times per second) and so far it's reporting no problems.

Yes, apparently if you get DLS it's either ding/wl and you can call them and find out. Although the letter gets there in a few days

I don't think so, I loaded copies of the script onto three other computers with some friends' SLS login info and those haven't been having any problems either (both have been running since 3:30 this morning).

They don't e-mail you?! You see a DLS and then in a few days you get a snail mail with nice letterhead telling you you're rejected? Wow. Do any other schools do it that way? Nice of them to at least tell you on the phone.

Mentioned this in the Michigan thread, but the admissions Dean et al. can see all of our login attempts (at least at Michigan). Maybe you'll get a bump for enthusiasm.

It likely means rejection at this point if you haven't received a phone call. Sorry man.

I had an feeling that's what it would be. Oh well. I'll frame the letter regardless lol. It's been fun ladies and gentlemen! As I make my grand exit on Valentine's Day, I wish you all the best of luck!! I'll be rooting for you guys!

By the way, we should all stay in touch after we're done getting into schools. It's quite a journey we're all on and it'd be good to be all connected in real life as we'll all be future colleagues.

Wow. What did the letter say? You don't have to divulge it completely, but what was the gist of the letter?
