Did all waitlist people get the email, or just priority reserve people (and have we even come to consensus that there's a difference)?

Sorry to be clueless, but are we talking about the email that asked if we were still interested in remaining on the waitlist, and to forward any new development or LOCI?

If so, I got one of those early last week. I was not PT and I wasn't priority reserve (or whatever) but I did apply for the JD/MA summer start.

does anyone know the average scholarship amount? I'm trying to figure out if my amount is considered average or where it lies...thanks!

If you're smart enough to get into Duke with 30k/year, you're smart enough to know that the averaged Duke student is not on a 30k/year scholarship. Congratulations, my man (or woman), but play coy with your mother, not fellow applicants.

Has anyone had success in negotiating up scholarship offers? I got $48k total, compared to 84k at Texas and Vandy. How did you go about doing so? My law advising is falling very short on having advise about scholarship negotiation.

Duke does negotiate with scholarships (know someone who got their Michigan scholarship matched by Duke, etc.). Pretty sure you can email or call the financial office. However, this probably only works with peer schools (which Texas and Vandy are not). It can't hurt to try though. Good luck.

Just withdrew as a summer starter. Really tough decision to make, but hopefully this frees up a spot and some money.

Just got the wait-list email today. 3.3/172. I'm also wait-listed at UMich and UCLA and 'held' at Northwestern. THIS IS TORTURE!
