Quite fun. Non-splitters are welcome as long as they uphold the values of the Splitter Friends, such as, sardonic wit (you already got that down); the free flow of nature's finest social lubricant, alcohol; and working smarter, not harder.elibrarian wrote:See, fun.basilseal wrote:Time to go, dear. Also, shouldn't our thread title include some sort of "working girl" pun?

Have we already posted guesses on when we think the first decision emails will go out?

Good, I'll start. I'm thinking Friday, December 16th for the first batch. Not sure what happened during past cycles, but this would give them a full two weeks after the deadline... I think that's reasonable.elibrarian wrote:I could not handle this. No. NO.egirarde wrote:Have we already posted guesses on when we think the first decision emails will go out?

Dec 4-10
I have a feeling Johann is on top of his game this cycle.
Also, it would be nice to hear by next week.

Dec 23 would be nice if it's good news. If it's bad, I'd prefer not to be depressed for Christmas...crumpetsandtea wrote:Sorry <3elibrarian wrote:Oh, fine. December 23.

I chose Dec 11-17, but my specific date guess is going to be Mon, Dec 12. I'm feeling optimistic.

God damnit. Did anyone else receive the huge packet in the mail today with "Northwestern School of Law" on the top left, immediately above "of Lewis & Clark College"?
Such a tease.

Monday the 19th. If I don't hear by Christmas (which seems to me a distinct possibility, sorry folks but it's better to be prepared) I will be crushed.

At least last year, I'm pretty sure acceptances went out in batches on Fridays.

Re: NU '11-'12 Apps-Splitter Friends battle evil/rising medians
Nah, I had updated that before the interview. I called NU and they said they're not missing anything. I'm guessing that they just taking a while to finish processing.Bumi wrote:Several weeks after I finished my alumni interview last year, when my application still hadn't gone complete, admissions emailed me to ask if I was ever going to do my interview. I had forgotten to go back to the interview site and tell them when my interviewer and I had agreed to do it or something. Just make sure that's not you.zoohoo wrote:I'm in the same boat, so I guess they take a whileamc987 wrote:Hey y'all. Can anyone tell me how long it takes to go complete after you complete your alumni interview? Mine was in the last few weeks and it was off campus. I'm not extremely worried about it, but I applied at the end of October and have yet to hear anything from NU. I don't want to have squandered whatever advantage early-cycle applicants have just because of the interview process.
What is a reasonable time frame to expect that I'll go complete and UR?

I really don't think they'll wait past Dec 15 or so, but that still feels like years from now...
