Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
According to last years cycle decisions should start rolling out next week for the early Jan completes. Those who just went complete the past ~week can expect a decision around early/mid-feb... I doubt the snow will have much impact; 1) it was heavy (more I think) this time last year, and 2) It's upstate NY... They're used to it.

Hey, we're date triplets! By using a very rigorous algorithm involving the most complex topology, I've concluded that we should get a decision when Jupiter aligns itself with the center of our galaxy and the earth's axis of rotation shifts 90 degrees. These two events should coincide in about 2 billion years.ppch wrote:Same dates for me! Had to chuckle at the e-mail.maglialoro wrote:rs2004 wrote:file complete today, i only applied in november.
My app just went complete as well. I went from processing 11/23, 1/5 and now complete 1/19. Will it take another 2 months before final decision?

We have between a 0 to 1 probability of getting in.maglialoro wrote: HAHA, by any chance did your calculated algorithm reveal if we would be getting in, denied or waitlisted?
It's not a very good algorithm.

we can figure first or second week of February at the earliest (they'll start re-reviewing our apps after Feb 1st)hipstermafia wrote:I'd like to know this as wellagoldst426 wrote:when should those of us who were deferred from EA expect to hear from them again?

Agreed. Granted, I've only endured these sorts of Cornell-esque temperatures in one week spans on vacation, etc. so I don't really know how I'd handle living in it.spacepenguin wrote:I was half joking anyway....

When do people hear back about full scholarships and if someone turns one down does another person get it?

We are delighted to inform you that your application for admission to Cornell Law School is complete and ready for committee review. Please feel free to reference your Online Status page for additional information while your file is under review.
If your application was complete by February 1, you should receive a decision within 8 to 12 weeks.
Am I reading this right, 8 to 12 weeks from today?

WOW. That's insane. That means end March to end April (past many schools first deposits).Skyhook wrote:We are delighted to inform you that your application for admission to Cornell Law School is complete and ready for committee review. I think they are probably giving an overly cautious timeframe because they can't realistically hold off many decisions for April.

I actually think they give most decision around April if you go complete near Feb 1st. This is from what I observed on LSN during last cycle.JJDancer wrote:WOW. That's insane. The answer is clear: Andy Bernard-inspired applicants have overwhelmed their admissions office.

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
The annoying part about this whole "complete by Feb 1st" line is that it reads like it's hinting at having gotten your app in close enough to the 2/1 deadline to go complete. It seems to ignore the fact that many of us applied months ago and still aren't complete.
