Re: Fordham Waiting Room
I was studying with my friend for my final exam of the semester tonight, and she told me that her "friend" applied to Fordham ED (Full Time) and he got in with a 162 before the 15th. I seriously doubt this...but she was adamant on telling me she's certain.
Anyone care to chime in on if this is remotely possible? (No, I don't know anything else this is all she said)

Well, I was admitted before the 15th (12/8). Fordham only has EA though, not ED. And I have no idea about the 162 part.Lolek wrote:I was studying with my friend for my final exam of the semester tonight, and she told me that her "friend" applied to Fordham ED (Full Time) and he got in with a 162 before the 15th. I mean, anything is possible... but I would hazard a guess that perhaps your friend is mistaken about HER friend's LSAT score!Lolek wrote:I was studying with my friend for my final exam of the semester tonight, and she told me that her "friend" applied to Fordham ED (Full Time) and he got in with a 162 before the 15th. Re: Fordham Waiting Room
LSN tells a different story - lots of 3.4-3.5s/166-169s got scholarships last year. Who knows it that will hold true this year, but, quite frankly, paying sticker for Fordham isn't an option for me...AlanShore wrote:danidancer wrote:your numbers are pretty solid but i didnt think they give money to anyone unless their numbers are VERY high

Yeah, I meant EA.
He got a 162 for sure. That's the puzzling part considering I asked her if it was possibly for PT and she said that it's for FT.

edit: or she got the schools confused. Who knows.

I guess 12/1 complete applicants (myself included) need to wait until the new year, unless tomorrow (otherwise known as today at this hour) yields some good news...

Yeah, it feels really good knowing that worst case scenario, it's Fordham at less than half price.goodolgil wrote:Yeah, I called too. Wow, $75,000 is a lot of money (especially with no strings attached)--I had heard Fordham is pretty stingy. They are definitely in the mix for me now.Sig218 wrote:Called the office today. The person was really nice and helpful. She said it was for each year, not a one time offer over three years.goodolgil wrote:I just got the scholarship letter in the mail, and I seriously can't tell if they mean the money is per year or over three years ($25,000) because of the way the letter is phrased ("it will be renewed automatically each year, etc...). I'm assuming it's over three years, which is a bummer.

Does the LS have a gym? I don't know if I could handle $120/month for a membership in the City somewhere. I refuse to get fat in law school.

Good question. Or maybe they get a discount at NYSports. (That's still about $85/mo, though)ccs1702 wrote:Does the LS have a gym? I don't know if I could handle $120/month for a membership in the City somewhere. I refuse to get fat in law school.

You don't need a gym, NY. You're already too hot to handle.nygrrrl wrote:Good question. Or maybe they get a discount at NYSports. +1. I love my gym in Union Square, but am looking for something closer to the school. I came across this article while obsessively googling anything/everything Fordham Law.ccs1702 wrote:Does the LS have a gym? It's from 2008, but would still consider it pretty relevant. I have not been to the gym at McMahon, but have not heard anything good.

Insanity. That's an all-access pass (you can use any Equinox in the city) to one of the more expensive gyms, in New York. Don't worry - you've got options!leftieash wrote:

That's good news. Is it acceptable? These are the questions we need to be brave enough to ask. OCI won't make me a sexy devil, damnit.SanBun wrote:they have a gym.Lolek wrote:Wow, please tell me they have a gym.

Easy Peasy.
(edit: I know, I know - they should have a weight room. Maybe they have a good deal at NYS. Anyway, there are tons of gyms in the area. So not to worry.)

Word. Yeah, I just google mapped it, and there are a bunch. This place: http://www.nyundergroundfitness.com is only $70/month. It looks small, but it's all good.nygrrrl wrote:Dude. Of course, all of this is second to actually getting accepted first. I think I'm getting ahead of myself.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
