Not anumbers twin, but I've also been at "Decision Pending" since 12/3. I'm on hold at FSU as well so this isn't surprising to me. Good luck to everyone!joeysun wrote:You're my numbers twin, but it's been since 12/3/09. Re: University of Florida
What's weird is that I got into FSU literally two days after they received my application. No joke. UF's and FSU's numbers really aren't that different. It's very odd. Hopefully you get some word back soon, Samer!samer wrote:Not anumbers twin, but I've also been at "Decision Pending" since 12/3. I'm on hold at FSU as well so this isn't surprising to me. I know someone with similar numbers who's also on "hold." I'm sure they're going to end up admitting all of you guys above both medians eventually...colforbin wrote:Current Status: Reviewed by committee; decision pending

12/17 pending decision; 163/3.63 numbers should be more then competitive and FSU accepted me about a week after it went to review. Whats the deal UF?

Why do you think this is meaningful?lawduder wrote:How many people with "reviewed, decision pending" are UF undergrads?

I just remember hearing some "he said she said" about UF not liking to take their own undegrads. Obviously I have no emperical evidence for assuming that though.SAE wrote:Why do you think this is meaningful?lawduder wrote:How many people with "reviewed, decision pending" are UF undergrads?

I personally don't think there's too much truth to that. As far as I know, there's no quota for in-state seats, let alone the "home-grown" ones.lawduder wrote:I just remember hearing some "he said she said" about UF not liking to take their own undegrads. Yeah, this year seems tougher than others (at least for the hold criteria). I thought I was an auto-admit, yet I'm here playing the waiting game with everyone else.kp009 wrote:Reviewed, decision pending 1/27 = held?

I do not think that there is any significance to the "reviewed by commitee, decsion pending" status. those that have high scores are auto-admits... if your score is decent and competitive, you will get in. UF is prob just gathering resources to issue many of the decsions at once. I would not be too worried about the decision pending status unless you have had that status since before January.

on the topic of traffic tickets...the application says to report traffic violations of $200 or more. I got a speeding ticket after applying that was $160. Should I inform them? If you don't mind me asking, how big was your ticket that they followed up on?

Yes I understand that, and I do feel dumb wording it the way I did, but my question was to the person who was contacted about a ticket. If it wasn't self-reported or if it was less than $200, I would rather tell them then have them find out any other way. But I apologize for sounding like an idiot.

Re: University of Florida
unfortunately, i don't get to take solace in your encouragement as I have been DP since 11/30/09. My index is basically just above last year's cut-off, I just thought 7, or now 8 years of work experience, would have pushed me over. I have other options, and even a better "ranked" school, but UF was kind of my top choice for family reasons....ram jam wrote:I do not think that there is any significance to the "reviewed by commitee, decsion pending" status. those that have high scores are auto-admits... if your score is decent and competitive, you will get in.
