Re: UVA c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Anyone know when UVA is planning on sending scholarship information to people admitted early in the cycle?

Is there a typical time frame going from UR2 to interview request?

Not sure if I fit any normal timeline, but I went UR1 11/17, UR2 1/26, got the interview request this past Monday, interviewed today (2/15) and went UR3 today as well.Chipotle85 wrote:Is there a typical time frame going from UR2 to interview request?

Just informed of the Dillard through skype interview with Dean Faulk!!!
He said further info would follow through the mail, anybody else know when that arrives?
Beside myself. Loss of words. UVA was a top choice.

Hey,
So I don't need to confirm my VA residency before getting an admission decision right? I'm still trying to find some reason I haven't seen any movement in months.

For all those under review for long periods of time holding out hope... Was put UR 12/5, heard back from all 7 other schools, held out hoping to hear back from UVA (my top choice). Finally received interview request early February, conducted Skype interview, admitted 2 days later!
Stuck between rock and hard place now, $50,000 scholarship offer from UVA, while I have a $120,000 from Michigan. UVA's the top choice but not sure the financials line up. Complicating things, my other T3 Berkeley, has ASW same weekend as UVA, and haven't heard scholarship info from them yet, so hard to decide which to visit absent their scholarship offer to take into account. Anyone know if UVA would match a Michigan offer? Definitely a peer school but on the whole UVA's more competitive.

Not needed, but it doesn't hurt to fill out anyway. I hadn't filled mine out and then they emailed me the day after I was accepted asking me to fill out ASAP. Not sure why it's needed, because I also got my scholarship offer with my snail mail acceptance the day after that, but they'll definitely be asking right after you get in so just do it.Dr.Degrees_Cr.Cash wrote:Hey,

Not joey, but I was admitted via status checker the Monday after my Friday interview. Most people report getting in via status checker, and then having snail mail admissions packages show up later with scholly info.nicola27 wrote:Congratulations! Dean Faulk often admits people at the end of interviews he conducts.

Finally admitted today after being UR since 11/8! Sent in a LOCI and Dean Faulk responded saying they had already decided to admit me and were about to send my package.

Would it be weird to email my interviewer and let her know I'm coming to visit? I just want to show a sign of interest earlier than two weeks from now.
