For those UR, does your status say something like this?
"Your application will go through several reviews. The process is very intensive and may take extra time to complete."
I don't think it was there before, and it now reads like a defacto waitlist.

It's been there from the start for me, so I wouldn't worry.dazedandconfused13 wrote:For those UR, does your status say something like this?

Re: Duke c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 Cycle)
Waitlisted via email.
172/3.33.
I've so far haven't heard anything from the T14 minus this and an interview request from Georgetown. Applied early-January after retaking a 167 October LSAT.
I know this isn't really the forum for this but are these numbers really that bad where the whole T14 is like "um, no thanks"?
Need some TLS wisdom to figure out what is going on trend-wise in this cycle.

finally heard back... waitlist!
Definitely best-case scenario for me. <25th gpa, >75th lsat.
Now I just need all YOU guys to just go ahead and decline your offers of admission...
Good luck to all who are still waiting!

First off, TLS vastly underestimates the degree to which files actually get read. So it may be that your softs just aren't clicking with T14 schools so far. (I haven't looked through your profile, so this could be way off.)dcruss wrote:Waitlisted via email.

But more likely, the decline in apps has all the schools very off-balance. So they literally don't know what to make of a 172/3.3. In the old days, every school would have known exactly where you were going to get in an where you wouldn't. Today, a place like Duke doesn't know whether to YP you (because you're going to get into NYU) or admit you. Until the seat deposits come in, my sense is that there's going to be a lot of agonizing waiting for a lot of people.

Does anyone have experience with how long it takes to receive a decision once fall grades have been sent in? I just notified the admissions office that they should have my transcript, and immediately received an email thanking me and saying they would review my file now. My status also changed immediately to "under review 3/4". I'm hoping this means I'll hear back quickly?

Thanks for the wisdom. I have been hearing that about this year's cycle, especially in the T14. Best course of action to send a LOCI and wait until I hear back from the rest of the T14?vuthy wrote:First off, TLS vastly underestimates the degree to which files actually get read. We're kind of following along with this in the admitted students' thread: http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... 8&t=2201962014entering2014 wrote:everyone who has received scholarship information, when does your status checker say that your scholarship form was received?
You may find a bit more useful information there, even if it's limited at the moment.

I had been under review since 2/10 and today date changed to 3/5 but I'm still under review! However the top part changed to "We appreciate your continued interest in Duke Law School". Im guessing this is a waitlist, anyone had this happen?

Had the same thing before and got accepted. It's not a waitlist message.rosepond wrote:I had been under review since 2/10 and today date changed to 3/5 but I'm still under review! You guys are fine for now until the status changes to decision finalized or something like that.kartelite wrote:Mine has the following:El Principe wrote:It's been there from the start for me, so I wouldn't worry.dazedandconfused13 wrote:For those UR, does your status say something like this?

Hoping to hear back by the time I get back from my spring break trip!

UR1 2/24
UR2 today
FYI, this switch caused the text at the top of the status checker to change from "the process may take extra time to complete" to "We appreciate your continued interest in Duke Law School. If you would like to submit additional/updated material..."
