I for one will readily admit that I'm much less amusing in person, fair warning![]()
(assuming I'm at all amusing online in the first place)
I would prefer March - but trying to figure out if I can do either. I've only been to St. Louis once - but it was years ago. I feel like I need a refresh. On the other hand, I'm an older student and while I love the idea of WUSTL, I am concerned about the scholarship offer I might get in comparison to other schools...
SO MANY DECISIONS! So little time!

If you are coming in town, tell your hotel you're visiting WashU. Some hotels offer discounts.

Thanks man. Definitely come visit if you can pull it off, well worth visiting a few schools, and WUSTL's campus rules. That being said, $$$ and employment matters come first, so negotiate and keep your debt down. There's money to be had still this cycle still, so gather your offers and leverage your peer school offers against each other. Good luck!zippernicus wrote:you are! as are all of the thread regulars!!Fiero85 wrote:Nice. Headed to the March or April date?zippernicus wrote:Got my travel stipend!!

I booked using Southwest. They generally have the lowest fares and no baggage fees.aesth24 wrote:what site are you guys using for airfares?

Yes, I am a splitter with a really horrid GPA, but already have a pretty stellar offer from Alabama. Hoping for big money from Wake Forest as well, since I have ties to that area... so I am not sure WUSTL will match, but I'm really hoping they play ball!Fiero85 wrote:

How did you guys receive financial information?
I was accepted by email last week, today a one page mailing came from the Dean with a simple acceptance letter. I am beginning to think I did not receive any merit financial offering. Any help is appreciated.

Nothing to worry about. Scholarship info comes separately via email, usually 1 - 4 weeks later.littlegiant wrote:How did you guys receive financial information?

Scholarship comes via email, and one week is way too soon to assume you're getting nothing. I'm pretty sure everyone who has gotten an offer had to wait a couple weeks at least. My scholarship offer came 2 months after I was accepted, though that may be misleading since I was in the first big group of offers. That being said, it'll take more than a week to get something, so you're definitely still in the running I'd say.

Does admitted students day run through Saturday as well? I work and would have to struggle pretty hard to get down to St. Louis on a Friday after five.

Same problem.... ugh. I wish it was on a Saturday so I could leave after work on Friday, or even take a half day at work!

Pretty sure it's just Friday. I don't know why that is, either.John Everyman wrote:Does admitted students day run through Saturday as well? I work and would have to struggle pretty hard to get down to St. Louis on a Friday after five.
I have to take a day off of two jobs if that helps. Luckily my third job isn't impacted.

This would be a no brainer for me if it were on Saturday. Friday is tough. Does anyone know what time things start on Friday?
