Looks like the 22nd was the last day for decisions before the holidays and then the 6th was when they started back up in January.

Well fuck.sinfiery wrote:There seems to be 1 more round of JS2s before the break according to previous years. Goodluck to all those waiting after their JS1s.
Not sure if anymore JS1s are going out before the break, depends if they have the interview slots already filled up or not.

If my app was completed mid November but I haven't heard anything from them other than the check-your-status e-mail, should I just assume I'm rejected with no interview?

You should assume that you haven't been invited to interview yet. I don't know your numbers but the cycle is far from over. Come June when you've been on the waitlist for 6 months then maybe you can assume you've been rejected.WalkingPlato wrote:If my app was completed mid November but I haven't heard anything from them other than the check-your-status e-mail, should I just assume I'm rejected with no interview?

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
At least 1 person last year had the following:
KB1 Email: 12/19/11
KB1: 12/20/11
He was accepted the 12/22/11
So still hope for JS1s before new years!
On LSN, 56 out of the 135 people who were outright accepted were accepted after the new year last year. (The year before that, 33/119)
18 people were accepted off the waitlist just on LSN (15 the year before that)
Of those 74, ~53 submitted before 01/01 and ~13 submitted after 01/01. The rest can be attributed to no date for when application was submitted/my own counting error. (Many of the late acceptances had App sent dates as early as ~10/01)
All there is left to do is wait and drink.

But yeah, I predict many of us with above-median LSAT and below-median GPA will get held until after the February deadline when they can evaluate the entire applicant pool. They probably wouldn't want to dip below their traditional 3.8 GPA floor unless they have to in order to maintain their LSAT median. But since it appears they did it last cycle, I'm pretty sure they'll do it again. So there's definitely hope.

Has anyone been rejected yet? If someone has (I feel for you) it may shed light for those of us just waiting at early complete dates. It would imply we are being held or may still get js1s. However if they haven't started rejecting yet then it's bad news bears...

Rejections typically don't start until January, if I remember correctly, so I get to enjoy a couple more weeks in limbo, at the very least.Anonymous4444 wrote:Has anyone been rejected yet? Also, I don't see anyone on LSN who claims to be rejected in this cycle. Are they not on the graph?
On another note, anyone notice the pretty hard GPA floor for Harvard's admits so far? It seems like they refuse to dip down below 3.8 (except for one person). Could this mean someone like me (175, 3.73) could hear back a little later, once they decide to lower that floor a little?

^outlookingin, a 175/3.75, was a November admit, so that's one more data point

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I got in a week ago with a 3.69. Applied early October. I think it bodes well for the sub-3.8s that they have taken a few applicants with low GPAs this early. It makes sense that they won't take a ton of us in November/December- but there's already precedent for it this cycle, so hopefully come January there will be more of the sub-3.8 acceptances rolling in.

Had my JS1 yesterday. I think it went well. Still, the anxiety I feel today knows no bounds.

Anyone know if there are anymore interviews this week? I know there were some slots for Thursday, but anytime in between or after?

I signed up last week, and if I remember correctly there were spots today and Thursday but not on Wednesday - can anyone confirm? Not 100% sure2013hopeful:D wrote:Anyone know if there are anymore interviews this week? I know there were some slots for Thursday, but anytime in between or after?

There were interview slots available only on MTTh this week, when I signed up. And no other times listed later this month yet.rocktower3 wrote:I signed up last week, and if I remember correctly there were spots today and Thursday but not on Wednesday - can anyone confirm? I think I might remember that. But, if there were interview yesterday and there are some today, wed, and thrus, then I imagine that the next round of JS2's will be Friday. Alright. I can handle this. Good luck everyone waiting.rocktower3 wrote:I signed up last week, and if I remember correctly there were spots today and Thursday but not on Wednesday - can anyone confirm?
