I'd like to know as well. I know at Georgetown apparently the majority are WL/Denied, but I'm hoping Cornell is different.RecordPlayer89 wrote:+1Dream Weave wrote:Can anyone shed light on the number of deferred applicants who are eventually accepted? Are most rejected/waitlisted?

Well, I'm going to be optimistic and say 10 days...the last batch of applicants had their date change on the 1st (approximately a month after completion) and got admitted today. Let the same trend follownsideirish wrote:Same. So now how long do we approximately have?VeeD101 wrote:Movement, finally!

Re: Cornell c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I can confirm this as a deferred to waitlist candidate at Georgetown. In regards to Cornell, I know some 167/3.6s were accepted early action. Does this mean they may go down to 166/3.6s now? Or do they take their reaches during early action. I can't see Cornell being blown away by the applicants they have received in comparison to what they expected. Seems like no one knows this answer though.elblufer wrote:I'd like to know as well. Re: Cornell c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
UCLA's Adcomms called out someone who posted in the UCLA thread, so on the off chance Cornell's Adcomms are reading this:
I really, desperately, want to come to Cornell. If accepted, I will definitely attend. Cornell's phenomenal employment numbers, combined with the low cost of living it Ithaca, make it my number one choice, hands down. Because I have an aversion to large cities, Ithaca is actually more attractive to me than New York or Chicago. Please give me the chance to prove myself at your prestigious institution.
Sincerely,

Apparently there was a discussion with some pretty specific information, and the Adcomm specifically referenced the UCLA thread when they called to confirm admission. Apparently, at least some of them are reading TLS.ph5354a wrote:

I just went complete today, after submitting in the first week of January. Cornell says they'll get back to me around mid-April. Isn't that after confirmations are due for other schools? Cornell, what is this?

I was wondering if there was anyone rejected among those who received their decision on 2/11. I went complete on 1/11 and got an update yesterday, and it seems not many were rejected/waitlisted by now...
soooo having an update this EARLY, maybe there's a hope for me?
