Agreed. I think it's pretty cool though, it's a refreshing contrast to the rage quitting "you suck and I would have never gone to your crappy school anyway" type responses that a lot of people around here get when their Pokemon approach to applying to the T14 gets thwarted by a waitlist.

Thanks BigZuck! When I met with the Dean of Admissions he let me know that they want to be contacted very 3-4 weeks if you are on the PR list since they are constantly reviewing those applications, so I really felt like I was just doing what they wanted. If anybody has any other questions or anything shoot me a PM.

I can second that PR is (thankfully!) not a death sentence:

Under review, non-priority track, early December;
Priority Reserve late February;
Sent a LOCI beginning of March;
ADMITTED yesterday, no interview.

Also, from briefly perusing last year's thread, coming off PR does not seem to impact one's chances for competitive scholarships. Just thought I would share for anyone else on PR. Good luck!

I sent a LOCI in late February and then an app update on March 9, then was put on PR less than a week after with a 4.06/172. What more should I do to express interest? Do they want weekly emails from me? Another LOCI this quickly after the last feels silly. Should I do it anyways?

Given the details you've posted, and the well-established fact that adcomms frequent TLS, there is a real possibility you have outted yourself at Duke.

I don't see how posting about whether or not to send a second LOCI is going to look bad in the eyes of a Duke adcom. If anything, it shows his interest in the school which will help not hurt him.

For the loci, are you guys writing a full out essay/letter or just a quick email stating your intentions to still want to attend Duke?

I'm still waiting on a response from Duke but would very much so like to attend. Is it better to write a preemptive LOCI at this point? Or just keep waiting?
