Auto-ding may not be the phrase you want here. I mean, they can't revoke your admission for verbosity. And for a 12 word overage I doubt they'll withhold aid, that just seems petty.

I tend to think of auto-ding as a machine actually making a "Ding!" noise and shunting the application into the "Haha No" stack. That way it's applicable to more situations than just admissions. I like my imaginary processes to be multi-taskers.

Today I received a status check email. I had gotten one months ago. It appears as if my status hasn't changed, unless they hide the ding somewhere??
Quit toying with me NU!

Heyyyyyy.
Also, what's the fastest turnaround we've seen from NU after one gets the official "complete" status?

I don't feel like going through 81 pages. Have decisions been issued lately within the 8 week window? My 8 weeks are up next week. Thanks.

Not exactly. I know I received my decision earlier (hold)...while others still haven't heard back and were complete by 12/1 IIRC.

I don't know about on average but I went complete in November (so my 8 weeks began on 12/1) and I still haven't heard anything.....

It took them 5 weeks to put me on the hold list.

So I guess tomorrow is a big day. Even though I just interviewed/went complete last week, I suppose it's possible (but unlikely) that I could hear back tomorrow. Last year, some Feb. completes heard back within 2 weeks (not all with good news, though)...

Hoping for the best, expecting the worst. Good luck, everybody!
