Re: BU 2011 Applicants
Been complete since 12/9... It's been over 13 weeks and still nothing. A couple of weeks ago I requested a status update and heard back that my file was complete and ready for review. I really love the school, so all of this waiting is excruciatingly painful. I've been fluctuating between extremes now for weeks; there's disappointment each day where I don't get a phone call from BU and there's relief if I survived the day without being swept up in a wave of waitlists (sorry to those who were just waitlisted today) and rejections. Surely it can't be much longer now. Hopefully there's a phone call from BU in my future.

is fafsa the only form that needs to be filled out to be considered for financial aid?

BU also requires Need Access: http://www.needaccess.org/ <- they only require parental info on Need Access if you're under 24 or 25, I can't remember which but it's on the admitted student's site or finaid someplace.

Well, I've got your exact numbers. Already accepted, but haven't heard about money yet. Here's hoping I get something similar.novab wrote:167/3.75 fyi

Waitlisted with a 3.1/168...this is a happy, happy surprise. I had decided to forget BU because I was 100% sure I would be dinged.
Time to write that LOCI. =)
Hm. Today has suddenly become a cheerful day.

I applied to BU early February (I know, really late) – and I haven’t heard anything. I’m not surprised at all since I applied late, but I was wondering if anyone knows about how long it takes to get decisions and how they come (dings vs. WL vs. acceptance)—whether it’s through mail or e-mail.
Also, does anyone know about how long it takes to get a decision and when the latest we’ll hear by is? I have a couple schools that want a deposit by April 1—so I’m getting nervous I’m not going to hear back by then.
Thanks for any info!

Anyone else who was accepted back in early January still waiting on scholarship info too?
Im thinking that there might be a problem with my needaccess form?

Looking at lsn, it looks like it usually takes 1-2 months to get a decision back. I applied 2/1 and am hoping to hear back by the end of next week.bluecanary622 wrote:Hey!Peg wrote:Waitlisted with a 3.1/168...this is a happy, happy surprise. Going on 12 weeks here... I applied in late December. Just requested a status update last week and they told me my application is "ready for review." -__-bbermud wrote:going on week ten for me....2011Law wrote:

Is it safe to assume that phone calls are always made for acceptances, and rejections/wl come through snail mail?

I think a lot of people, if not all, got WL-ed via email. I think you are right about the rest, thoughbluemanblueman wrote:Is it safe to assume that phone calls are always made for acceptances, and rejections/wl come through snail mail?
