TLS BUUURRRNNNN!!!!!!
Also, soccer sucks. Welcome to America. Go to Europe if you want to kick a ball around with a bunch of effemenite men.
Why can't we love both?
Which? American football and soccer, or Europe and "effemenite" men? Here on the optimism thread, we are free to love all equally... Even pessimistic interlopers.
We're the hippies of TLS around here. Sit back, grab some Kool-Aid and a brownie and let them good times roll!

Soccer fans have convinced themselves that soccer is the onlys sport in the world, and that anyone who doesn't LOOOOOVE soccer just hasn't given it a chance. They are incapable of comprehending that when I watch soccer, all I see is a ball going back and forth, then nothing because it put me to sleep, then the inevitable 1-0 score at the end.
For the record, I think baseball is like one of the most boring sports to watch ever. Fun to play though. Same with soccer.
Football is god. That is all.
I like Europe, but not necessarily effeminate men.

I don't know what I'm saying anymore... almost all sports are fun to play, football is the best to watch and the most likely to eventually die from if you play it enough.

Preach on, Ugh... Give me a pitcher's duel any day of the week... However, I must admit that I also understand why my significant other does not appreciate baseball nearly as much as I do. Especially the mediocre team I happen to follow.

Oh, Mrs. Trucker, we were getting along sooo famously. Then you had to say OU... You are aware that UT is the team to watch in the Big-12, right?!?!?

I would argue 'Mittons, but I'm afraid your logic is inescapable. Oklahoma, land of red mud and endless toll roads. But hey, they make up for it by charging roughly $397.42 to drive through to a real state...
HA... HA!!! I'm kidding, Mrs. Trucker... just a little friendly Red River Rivalry humor!

MrsTrucker: Yeah, Oklahoma is not the best, but it's where I was born and raised. Can't fault me for rooting for my home team
PS..I also root for anyone who makes Tebow cry

Mittons, by the way, I just popped into Pessimism (it's funny, what can I say?) and I couldn't help but see your "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" post.
I cracked up... Not that you need any validation from me, but I snickered loudly... in a library, so lots of people turned around to stare.
Thank you... I can always use a good laugh. Jackalopes enjoy laughter, almost as much as beer... and football... and pizza... well, we enjoy lots of things, okay? But laughter is definitely up there...

Thx. Glad you enjoyed it. We can be friends since you hate OU too.
