so i've intentionally not been keeping track of asw's because columbia's silence had been getting me down, but now i'm excited! on which weekend(s) do the cls and nyu asw's overlap? and is it like a wed-sat deal?

received a 3-page personalized letter from David Schizer, the President of Columbia Law School in the mail yesterday. it was hand signed at the end! very nice gesture considering I have already enrolled and they really have no reason to woo me anymore.

Hey Kretzy, were you able to get the full $200 travel reimbursement from Columbia and Chicago? Columbia's telling me to give them my full itinerary so they can split the costs with other law schools.

just got a shiny blue box from CLS, slightly larger than a textbook, full of information about different facets of CLS (IP, PI, clinics, comparative law, etc)....it probably arrived today bc i am in nyc

Pretty good. Housing, classes, t-shirt--nothing groundbreaking or unexpected, but solid shmoozing. Also they seemingly asked all (only?) attractive current students to show up and network...sampling error ftw.

yeah.. i don't think schools should send out information without having something substantial .. it got my hopes up seeing it, and then all I discovered was the Roosevelts went to Columbia

I don't know, when I visited a class back in October I thought it was a rather attractive bunch.

In -- very surprised, very happy. My listed LSAT score is a retake from low-160's; I thought I had no chance. I hope this gives some optimism to people who are relying on softs. They matter!

Sorry if it was mentioned and I missed it somehow: is anyone among those admitted on the big wave last week (this week did not seem to have a large wave, I guess) applied and gone complete in January? Or has everyone who got in applied in Dec/Nov/Oct?
