Congrats to you too, nothing like beating the odds 8) . Now if even some money (5-10k) comes with my acceptance, that's a HUGE game changer for me.

Congrats! Did you guys go "under review" before being admitted? I've been complete since 11/16 and getting a bit impatient!

As impatient as I am, and as much as it sucks waiting, I think we should give the schools a break. Most of the schools have receives thousands of more applicants than they have in the past, so processing time is slower for almost all of them. At least that's what I tell say to make myself feel better :).

In Review 2/17

Been complete since 11/2, so this is some very welcome action..

Some of you had "In Review" then were accepted a week or so later? That's promising....

Yeah I was complete 11/6 then "In Review" as of 2/8 I believe. My status changed to "Application accepted" yesterday afternoon.

Hah really? I thought I was the only one waiting for that long. Well that's a good sign, unless all of the acceptances went out for the 2/8 or 2/9 group and the next batch are waitlists/rejections. I'll see in a week or so.

It's hard to tell if they are releasing decisions in batches or not. According to LSN, every decision from Villanova so far has been an acceptance, and they have been trickling out decisions since December. Obviously that is going to change at some point, but I don't think that because some people got in before you it means you are inevitably going to get waitlisted or rejected. Good luck!

+1. I wasn't anticipating this kind of wait from Villanova.

Feb. 15 as a notification date for merit-based scholarships is a load of bs. I just got off the phone with them and they said they are meeting now and hopefully will start to let people know in the next few weeks.

The Feb 15 date, which was when letters would be sent out not when people would be notified, was what I was told in a series of email exchanges I had with the Office of Admissions and the Financial Aid office. So either that person was talking about the meeting for the next round of scholarships, or the information given previously by the Office of Admissions (which they gave to several people) was wrong.

I hope you're right! I need to hear soon to know if Villanova is a real option for me.

My two cents on the scholarship issue: I heard the first notifications would start going out on the 15th as well. Keep in mind, though that the 15th was a federal holiday, and I know that Villanova was closed for most of last week due to the snowstorm here in the Philadelphia area. That might have pushed everything back for the better part of a week.

This link was posted in another forum, but I thought I'd post it here, for Villanova applicants to consider.

Note where Villanova ranks among "law schools with the highest percentages of graduates hired by NLJ 250 firms." Interesting, considering its USN rank (#61). I suppose its location helps.

This data is through September 2009:

I have officially lost interest in whether Villanova will ever make an admissions decision. Congratulations to everyone who has heard back, and good luck to everyone who has more patience than I do.

Yeah, this is the most frustrating wait for me out of any of the schools i've applied to. When did you go complete?

Waitlisted via status checker - changed within the last hour. Complete 11/2; In Review 2/17 for those who are curious. Expected a denial so I'm very excited!
