thanks for your input. I'm actually of the belief that after the T14, the rankings are more about personal preference. Being "bottom of T1" for UCI (using your prediction) isn't that far from Hastings current rank. Irvine is in my preferable market, it will be much cheaper and the current faculty/administration are going to work their tails off to make sure their first classes of students are well placed upon/after graduation. Plus it's public interest mission fits with my goals, Hastings, from my research, is more focused on private firms.

So, I think these are more rational considerations, not just me being "nuts"

Really? I was under the impression that it was a national holiday...which is why, even today, my work building is empty American work ethic, for the win.

The day people started receiving acceptance calls, I received a call from an apartment complex in Irvine. Luckily, it was before I knew UCI was calling anyone. I think I would be outraged if it happened now.

I hear ya! I live in the same area code as Irvine, so my heart skips a beat each time an "unknown" call comes through... torture... I'm thinking I'm going to put the unknown ringtone call as the Jeopardy theme song, haha.

It won't show up as "Unknown" - hope that helps you stay sane.
