Iowa full ride would be hard for me to pass up. But I don't have your numbers. Big congrats!

Got a letter from the Dean today. I'm wondering if anyone else did and that's just standard or if it's a promising sign for scholarships?

Sorry, I meant the Dean of the law school not admissions. It was a letter not email. Should have been clearer.

Hey they could've said "Great study habits for the LSAT" that would've been a soul crusher.Desert Fox wrote:Yep. "Congratulations on your history of academic achievement". I have a 2.8 gpa! My turnaround time from getting the status checker was a month so it's not much longer of a wait for you!tallywhacker wrote:Finally got the f'in status checker, a week and a half later.
Anybody actually thinking of attending iowa that's been accepted?? IDK to much about them... anybody care to elaborate?

I plan on going, accepted the offer through their online portal earlier. As far as what I know about them, beyond what is written in the TLS review, they're very well respected everywhere I have been in the Midwest and have an excellent building/campus. I'm an Iowa resident, so am lucky enough to have visited campus on several occasions, love it. The library is truly impressive and Iowa City is a great college town, you can live comfortably for a bargain price and there is plenty to do.robin600 wrote:My turnaround time from getting the status checker was a month so it's not much longer of a wait for you!tallywhacker wrote:Finally got the f'in status checker, a week and a half later.

I'll be attending next fall...great school, especially if you are interested in the midwestern markets where it has an excellent alumni network and reputation. I currently am an undergrad at Iowa and really like Iowa City, especially as a place to focus on your studies. As for the building, some people think it's a little 'star trek' but I really like it myself. If anyone has any questions about the area or anything feel free to PM me.

Got my scholarship letter today from Iowa. They are offering full ride, plus a paid research assistant position 2nd and 3rd years. I am very excited because this is the first offer I've gotten that goes beyond full scholarship. I almost certainly will be visiting Iowa City to check it out.
