DAMN, Cardozo sponsors must be loaded. that school is giving out full rides like nothing. Nice job, I predict they will jump at least 5 spots in rankings, maybe even 7 or more

Just got a Cardozo email! I'm in with the Paulsen scholarship (no GPA requirement). Wow, a free law school education sounds tempting after thinking about the $150k+ I'd have to take out for my top school acceptances.

you're 169/3.66 right?

I'm interested in seeing what the lowest full ride looks like... as I want it with my 170/3.34.

Yup, that's about right for my #s.

FWIW, someone with a 170/3.4 got a full ride last year according to LSN. But also saw a 170/3.45 who didn't quite get a full scholly, but damn close (120k total). So you should be fine. Good luck!

Got the call yesterday (164/3.5) and he mentioned to me that they give out travel stipends. I'm hoping that means I'll be getting one and he wasn't leading me on.

Originally was complete the middle of November, but changed to 10/24. Forgot to mention I was awarded 25k/year (barely the cost of living), but I'm grateful as it's certainly better than nothing.

I'm pretty sure tuition is about $44,000 a year which would mean $132 and I'm guessing people just rounded up instead of doing the exact math

Yes. I have down that it is $44,6 ... so thats $133,800 .. people are maybe rounding up (which makes some sense to do as tuition will go up), or they got small stipends.

Its kinda nice to see that even if we choose cardozo, we can still work at biglaw and make money. if you compare it to fordham, its really not that much worse because i think a lot of people choose cardozo if they dont want to work in a private firm

Okay, let's slow down for a second. Those 35% of Cardozo grads that year DID NOT GET BIG LAW. 35% of the students who got work in law firms got jobs working for firms of over 500 lawyers. 57.8% of the class went to firms, and 35% of them were in 500+ firms, so about 21.1% of the whole class would have gotten into 500+ firms. (this is for the class of 2008)

NLJ has Cardozo's class of 2005 having 12% getting NLJ250 firms. Keep in mind that only about the top 100 NLJ firms have 500+ lawyers (so, the percentage who got 500+ firms is likely less than 12%.

So, believe what you will ...
