Dear XXXXX:

Penn State Law will be hosting an on-line tomorrow afternoon from 4:00 - 6:30 p.m. (EST). Chats will continue on a weekly basis through March. Days and times, which will vary to accommodate individual schedules and geographic time zones, will be posted in the "New and Events" section of our website, http://www.law.psu.edu. You do not need to be on-line the entire time, but can log in or out, even if just for a few minutes, at anytime during the allotted time frame to ask a specific question or join in the on-going conversation.

Perhaps you have questions about the campus locations, housing, parking, clinics, study abroad, etc., or would like to "chat" with a current student. Administrators from admissions will host the chat, but current Penn State law students will be on-line to offer a student perspective.

To join the chat, you should log in to our admissions web page, --LinkRemoved--, click on the "OnLineChat" icon at the bottom of the page, and follow the directions to set up a password and log in to the chat room.

We looking forward to chatting with you on-line over the next several months. As always, if you have questions, members of the admissions staff are available to answer them or, at least, direct you to the appropriate office, so please do not hesitate to contact us.

I think it's just a general e-mail that everyone's getting. I wouldn't put too much stock in it.

Got the same letter. Looking at the previous years release of acceptances (lawschoolnumbers.com) It seems like they send out a wave on 12/22-12/23 then another 1-14. I'm hoping that if they stick to that then we will hear something back tomorrow or later this week. I'm being cautiously optimistic about it.

Has anyone who was admitted on 12/22 gotten their promised admissions packet yet? Just wondering if mine got lost in the mail or if it hasn't been sent yet...

I was admitted that day and nothing yet. I am waiting anxiously bc I think (hope) it will include merit scholarship info.

I checked my status checker and a mailing popped up for 1/13/2010 so it looks like the letters are on their way!

Got the same mailing dated 1/13 and I was accepted on 12/23.

I went complete (received my status checker) on 1/12. What is the time line like after you go under review? Did other people here soon after or is there a few day/week delay?

Does anyone know about Penn State's placement in Chicago? Is it alright since it's a Big Ten school or is it just too far and, therefore, more of an east coast school?

This is pure speculation, but based only on the number of schools that compete for the Chicago market, I'm going to guess, "What is not very good, at all?"

Same here, haven't changed since 12/7. LSAT is at 75%, GPA slightly below 25%.
