Packet says scholarship info 3-4 weeks after acceptance. Its been 5 weeks for me. Should I call the admission and see whats up? I dont want to sound pushy, Im just very excited to find out.

I don't think a call would be neccesary at this time. As my acceptance packet and an above poster stated, most scholly info will come out in January or February.

I'm not sure......living in Miami sounds great, but the price tag is a little off-putting

Yeah..I'm thinking that as well. Even with (and that is a huge if) that $23k/yr scholarship comes through, that still leaves about $16k-$17k left in tuition. Unless I decide that I am 100% committed to South Florida, I don't know that I could justify that kind of cash when other schools only leave me with a grand or two a year.

Does Miami send status checker information or even an email when your file is complete? My report was sent on 12/7 and the only email I got was saying they received my application and had requested the report. I know it says 10-12 days before the report is received, but I sent all my applications/reports on the same day and Miami is the only school who hasn't told me my file is complete.

Also, Miami is one of my top choices but the decision could come down to money. Any thoughts on whether I could get any kind of scholarship with a 3.33/162?

I think there is a status checker of some kind........but I never received any emails after the initial email. I called to check on my application and only then did I find out that a decision was mailed. The acceptance letter was in the mail that same day.

I am not sure about scholarships.

How long did it take you guys to receive an acceptance? Also, I received an email saying they have an electronic version of my application but are waiting for a hard copy from lsac that will arrive in 10-12 days. Does that mean they won't even look at it till then?

to my understanding, here is no status checker. i think its because of their fast turnaround. i was sent an acceptance like 2 weeks after i went complete.

I just got an email saying that I have been awarded a scholarship! It doesn't say how much, but that my scholarship letter was mailed to the address listed on my application.
